Le Havre - A review of things to do.

Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs.

I recently sailed into the French port of Le Havre. While recognised as an easy gateway to paris, Honfleur and the Normandy beaches those destinations may not always be attractive to all cruise ship passengers.

I have therefore written a review on my cruise blog on what I found to do in a day...

The review contains over 50 photographs and a map to guide the visitor to the Le Havre Funicular...

Hi Richard,

I see that the mods have moved your thread from western Europe forum to its correct forum, Mediterranean ports - France :D :D :D

Cherbourg has also moved to the Med. :D

JB :)

Hmmm. So Le Havre and Cherbourg are in the Med? CC geography is always interesting.

Hank

Thanks solent Richard. I found your blog very useful. We've been to Le Havre several times and visited a few of the points of interest mentioned but you gave me ideas for things to do when we visit on our next trip to Normandy

Hi all. Nearly time to cruise!!!! How is everyone getting on with plans for shore days? We are going to do our own thing and visit the towns so does anyone have ideas? We are a group of 4 so if anyone wants to join up for travel that would be great.

For the formal dining nights, Is this a must? Our kids are not keen on dressing up (13 and 18 yr old boys!) so is there another option for dining when this is on?

Can't wait to meet you all at sail away. Is the pool bar still the plan???
