Tendering for Gold Status passengers

DH and I just became "gold" after our last NCL cruise. I understand that one of the perks is priority tendering. Can someone tell me how this works? Also we have someone in our cabin who is on her first NCL cruise - will she be able to accompany us on the same tender ? AND on our tender day we will be going on a private excursion with friends for whom this is a first NCL cruise - is there any way we can arrange to be on a tender with them?

Thx to anyone who answers (I am just trying to get my mind around how we will manage this all).

I'm pretty sure that since the tier level changes in January it is only Platinum and up that now gets priority tender service. Someone might like to clarify this.

LolLolLol!Hehehe!LolLolLol!Hahaha!LolLolLol!Hehehe!LolLolLol!Hahaha!

Well, I learned during check-in on my last cruise, while waiting in the loonnnggg Latitudes line while my first-time-on NCL friends beat us through check in, I'm going to go through the newbie line if the Latitudes line is longer.

I wondered about the "priority" tickets, but never asked or tried to find out about them. Now that I've turned platinum, I'll just continue to wait, as I always have. Aahhh, it's good to have status! ;p:')

I’m also gold and was trying to figure out the tender priority benefit. It sounds like you join the line when you are ready and no real panic to book them when you get on the ship. If you are up and at it early you will be one of the first off. Does the priority offer any benefit returning to the ship? A latitudes line perhaps? First time on an NCL ship with a tender

Never saw any priority lines going back. We were in the Haven and just got in line with everyone else. They only gave priority to Haven guests during the last 2 hrs in port (escort to front of the line). Maybe there is something similar for Higher latitudes?

Yes, the only benefit is that you don't have to worry about booking a time in advance. To be honest, I think that's quite handy.

On the times that I have tendered, there has never been any queue on return anyway. I'm sure that they do build up at times (and in some ports), but generally there is no need for anything on the return, in my experience.

Priority tendering simply means you do not have to get a tender ticket and wait for that number to be called. You can join the tender line anytime you want. Just show the crew member your seacard instead of tender ticket.

To be on tender with your friends, just join them in line when their tender number is called.
