i'd be willing to bet that it has something to do with posts like these... :(

as duck noted - it is for ta's only... but with the frequency with which people have readily posted links to it (or links to specific info therein), i'm sure they noticed that we had figured it out... and blocked it

i guess, if that's the case, we're gonna have to make do with cruisedeckplans.com:

I'd take that bet, because the way I found it was the link at the bottom of the regular Carnival.com site taking you directly to https://www.bookccl.com/irman/. It wasn't a mistake or a secret, Carnival knew it was there and provided a link to it. It's not like there was anything we weren't supposed to be able to see there.

But now the link from carnival.com goes to a TA log-in page (http://www.bookccl.com/LogIn/default.asp), so I guess that means they don't want the regular public seeing it anymore for some reason.

I tried the wayback machine website where you can see old historic webpages, (http://www.archive.org/web/web.php). I found a version of the page, sans graphics, but all the links appear to be dead so it's of no value:

Hey, check this out: An old Carnival.com webpage from 1997.

what was the purpose of this site

It is a site that TAs have to sign into in order to use for informational purposes. Someone found a back door to get in and people have been posting the link all over that is only for TAs.

They caught on and locked us out. Just like all the threads on smuggling - too much abuse and broadcast of the details ruins things.

No, it was not a back door, and they didn't "catch on" to the fact that clicking a link right on the carnival.com site brought you to that page. Obviously they knew where the links on their own web page took users. It was right at the bottom of the Carnival home page listed under Travel Partners for all to see and use. It still is, actually. It just doesn't bring you to the same page as it used to.

Yes, looks like the IRMAN site is no longer accessable.

In fact , IRMAN was not designed even for for TA's to use .The site was originally for Carnival Inside Sales Reps (you know, those people who answer phone calls from TA's and don't always have the answer/correct answer).

I (Inside),R (Representative),MAN (Manual).

THANK YOU!!!!! I have been so frustrated with trying to find a website that has deck plans for the ships that can be printed out! I actually went out and bought a magnifying glass so I could use the deck plans in the Carnival books! This website is perfect so again thank you!! :)

just hate the fact you got to pay to see their diagrams. :( i posted in carnival that the site that was up was very helpful. they should have this part available for guests to see what actually is up with a room their looking at as carnivals does not give that detailed discription. havent seen anything yet produced fromthat post tho mischell said she'd forward that info to the "uppers" yeah, ok.. probably won't happen.
