Magic is going to................

Legend

Yeah but we don't have fun :p.....lol.....I've had a thread going for over a year for the first CC group on Magic when she homeports....so just waiting on the official announcement from CCL. ;)

While some are waiting for an "official announcement" ....others are booking rooms! :D If I could go, I'd book now....announcement or not.

If its not true, so what. If it is, I have my aft covered !

We so wish we could go !!!

3000 is less than 100 per day per person for an AFT WrapAround Balcony! That is a steal! TransAtlantics are the cheapest cruises you will ever take per day. Check prices for Ocean View.....unbelieveable!

Our pricing is actually for the aft NEXT to the wrap. The wrap price on the 6th and 7th deck was quoted to us as

$3931 for the two of us (as opposed to the $3361 for the 8M aft)

We figured we would now need the extra $600 for the crazy one way fares we will need to do this from NY, which is why we didn't book the wrap

The unofficial rumor is that the Magic and Triumph will be in Galveston and the Conquest and Ecstasy will move to New Orleans. This comes from a very highly places unofficial source.

Oh I wished I didn't have a gag order. :D

No, my group is going to sail from her from her homeport and they aren't booking anything like that yet.;)

Remember....the end port of most TA almost are never the final home port...there is usually a repo cruise after the TA.

;)

I would think that would be the case if the cruise ended in cities like Miami or NewYork, but what would be the reasoning for the TA to end in Galveston if it wasn't going to stay there? It wouldn't really make any sense. Why go to Galveston, just to turn around and go back to Florida?

My PVP, again a >10 year PVP with Carnival, confirmed yesterday that the Magic would be home ported in Galveston. She point blank said, "The Magic will be home ported in Galveston." No "maybes" "mights" or "shouldas".

$1680 pp for a 8M aft balcony, for 16 days, thats about $100 a day including taxes.

The price they quoted they said was the total price for everything, taxes and fees included. Im sure there are other cheaper cabins to book too. Someone else posted who said they thought the prices were quite reasonable ...from one extreme to another reactions lol

Sorry, I should've been more clear. I meant ridiculous in a good way. If I thought we could get the time off, I'd book in a heartbeat at those rates!

A solo in a 1A for the TA is over $2200 plus air. So far the cheapest flight info I can find is estimated to be about $1500. Plus getting home from Texas. One way airfare is a killer. Too rich for my blood. But what a great cruise it would make. Carnival and their darn 200% single supplement is making this impossible for me.

Exactly where will we find the official announcement? The Carnival homepage? Galveston really isnt that far from the airports. Hobby is about 40 minutes unless you are coming in the evening during the week. Traffic is outbound. Bush airport is over an hour but if you jump on Beltway 8 and take it all the way to I-45 it isnt too bad. Living here I guess I dont think of the airports being that far. I love the port so much better than NOLA! But I will cry if they take away Ecstasy, she is my favorite!

Yes it is on the Carnival site. The TA comes up when searching for Magic cruises over 10 days.

Biloxi is not that far a drive from Houston, Would it be cheaper to rent a car one way? I spent two years there 1982-1984, before all the casinos.

Prices must have gone up since yesterday. I was quoted a price of $865 all in for a 4a.
