Riverside Hotel Ft Lauderdale

I am aware that there is no guarantee of getting the Riverside. I was just wondering if there is a problem getting this type of room using Priceline.

Hotels are always supposed to hold the handicapped rooms for those in need. However, I don't know that I'd book that room on PL. If they are sold out, you are stuck. Why not book the first two on PL and then do the other thru the hotel? I think I'd call the hotel directly and ask if you did book on a discount site, what they can guarantee on that particular date. I'd also want to know how many accesible rooms they had.

Head over to the board that deals with disabilities and someone might have personal experience.

If you really want the Riverside, you can get it on hotwire at a discount. It's the only 3 and 1/2 star property downtown/las olas area.

For those of you who booked this hotel on Priceline and Hotwire, how did you find the rooms that you were given.

I ask because there quite a few reviews on TripAdvisor that are not good.

All help appreciated!

What a great idea!:) Did you call and ask the cost for the newer rooms over the Priceline Bid?

I'd love to know because I'm interested in bidding for the Riverside but the old rooms put me off.

Hi dmk:) no, I did not ask about the regular prices but you can look

on their website and it will tell you the room prices. To be honest,

when using Priceline you cannot pick which rooms you want.

Does anyone know if there is a store, near Riverside hotel, for purchasing champagne pre-cruise? If so, is it within walking distance of hotel?

Thank you,

Rachel

You can get sparkling wine at the CVS on N. Federal Hwy, about 2-3 blocks away, and champagne at Publix on Andrews Ave, about 8 blocks away.

Thanks for your reply. I did check out hotwire and for the date Feb.14th its not really a discount.

I contacted Riverside via an email and asked if it was going to be in the Tower, and they responded back that it was not, but they offered to let me pay $30 at check-in to upgrade to it. I agreed and she said she made a note on my reservation.

We bid 3* downtown and got nothing at $85 and $90...ended up with the Riverside on a $95 bid for 2 nights in mid-March. Hotel website shows almost twice that for the cheapest room.

This will be a first time for us at this hotel, usually staying at ones on 17th street.

Decent price for a prime-time of the year.

Las Olas will be such a nice change from 17th Street you'll wonder what took you so long to make it!
