Cruise director list enjoy

See, this contradicts "the list" yet again. I give up. :rolleyes: :p

 

 

 

Ken Rush will take out the Allure. She won't even be here until the end of November. It will be a while before Richard Spacey goes there. (it's not like this change is NOW)

Clo definitely told us she was only there for the week last week. She was a last minute fill in and then told us her schedule for next summer. She did not tell us how long she was on vacation for and I didn't ask her at the meet and mingle.

 

I do agree she is one of the best we have seen. We had Becky a few years ago on the Mariner and found her to be very fake. Clo was much more approachable and outgoing. She was talking to a few of us in the WJ, telling us how she used to work for National Car Rental and lived Revere or Reveaaahhhhh, copying the locals perfectly.:p

 

Thanks, I was hoping we would be sailing with her next week and on the repositioning as well. I remember her mentioning her ties to Boston and to National Car rental when she lived in Revere. I was going through some old pictures from our 2002 Brilliane transatlantic and came across one with Clo talking to a friend of ours who will also be on the repo. Glad I didn't tell him that Clo would be on the October 30th cruise. Oh well, we sailed with Keith last year so it will be good to see him again.

Pretty funny that Dan is still the CD on RD when HE said Kirk would be on board when they got to Tampa. Although in the past, Kirk has said when he gets on board, he's behind the scenes for a week during the turnover.

 

That being said, Clunis was to get on in San Diego as Hotel Director then at the last minute they said he got called for jury duty. Maybe he'd get on part way through the PC and maybe not. So anything can happen. I wonder when Clunis did get back on the ship.

I just got off the RD & Kirk actually was on board--I heard him make one announcement, but unfortunately never saw him. Kirk told me when I saw him on the Liberty in August that he was filling in on Liberty & would join the RD in Grand Cayman on our sailing and would work behind the scenes to get things ready for the 4 & 5 nighters. I was bummed that I didn't get to visit with him.

Had Chris Northey 2 years ago on Monarch. he was OK, he's young so maybe he's refined his skills over the 2 years. Since the CD is in charge of all the entertainment/activities on the ship you won't be lacking for anything to do. You may find something new. On Monarch Chris started a crew vs guest dodge ball tournamnent. That was wild (and fun to watch)!

Just came back from Bermuda on Explorer about a month ago. We had Chris as our CD. He was on his first cruise as CD, so we were a little worried but there was no need to be. Very entertaining, had the crowd really going wild at Quest (over 750 played!). He's 36 years old (according to his live daily morning show) and seems to be quite a lot of fun.

 

I wonder what happened to Johnny O? He was the CD on the Jewel last year to the Panama Canal and was a very good one. Also, very musically talented. He was the main show one night and the crowd really liked him. Anyone know where he went?

According to Marc Walker's Facebook page, he has 3 cruises left on the Monarch untill his vacation (I believe Drew comes back). Marc will be on the Serenade in January before he returns to the Monarch in March
