We had Captain Ban for our Quantum sailing when Q was in the US. He was personable and friendly.

Yes, he should be. When I spoke to him on the Explorer I told him that I would be following him. :)

The actual turnover may be 10/8. The 10/1 date is when he is to board the ship.

This is exciting. When we sailed on EX on a 9 night cruise to Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao, he actually served passengers during the "Meal with an Officer" lunch --- very personable and of course, a good navigator.

Captain Srecko is awesome! He's always visible around the ship. Very personable and quite friendly. When we were on Anthem, he made nightly appearances in the Diamond Lounge and sat right behind us during the New Year's Party. You'll like him a lot!

LOL, no, Capt Yngvar has been a master ever since I started this thread in 2006...I thought that he might have retired but now I'm thinking he was a fleet captain shoreside. They have to master every so often to keep their master mariner license. I last had him many years ago assigned to Mariner (when I kept track by pen and paper!)

They can, it just happened this spring/summer with a different ship..the captain picked up the ship while it was in St Thomas. The poster that told me 11-13 also could have been told wrong by the captain so it could be 11-11....you'll just have to come back here and post who your master was and when did he start! :D

I found out Captain Kjell was on NV earlier than 8-17, so he must have came to give Capt Malvin a short break before going to EX. My assumption would be that Capt Malvin has been moved over to EX permanently with Captain Kjell remaining on NV rotating with Capt Trond.

 

I also thought Captain Juan Luis Caranti was on the Rhapsody rotation.

Saw photo of him that Michael Bayley posted yesterday. (Old photo or did he stay onboard?) Maybe he stayed on and brought his family on so maybe they had two captain's for humanitarian voyages? Inquiring minds!!!!

Thanks. Agree with all of this. I had suspected he would get the family onboard when the hurricanes were headed that way. Just curious since the schedule showed he was due for vacation on 9/23 (which of course didn't happen since they were "extended"). Was just hoping he would be back for at least one of our Dec sailings but probably won't be if he was extended.
