So disappointed to hear that Captain Lis is on leave (delighted for her). We are on the Jewel next spring and were hoping she would be there as we will reach Pinnacle on one of the b2b2b. We so enjoyed her on our Jewel cruises last fall. Never saw Captain Castelsky on the one he was on.

I thinks Captain Calne is still onboard Freedom. He is supposed to change on Sep 3rd. You had him onboard a week to early in June.

Just thinking off the top of my head and maybe more there than other places but...

Captain MacDonald on Liberty is from the US. Captain Marek Slaby is from Poland. Captain Oviol is from Venezuela.

For many years they were all Norwegian but this became too expensive. In the past all cruise lines choose one main nationality for their bridge officers for several reasons, e.g. availability and amount of qualified officers, synergies in recruiting and training, teamwork on the bridge.

Just to confirm - we boarded Jewel yesterday expecting Captain Frank but our captain this week is definitely Captain Dustin Castelsky.

Yes, he should be. When I spoke to him on the Explorer I told him that I would be following him. :)

The actual turnover may be 10/8. The 10/1 date is when he is to board the ship.
