Capt. Ante Cavalia departed Grandeur on 4-14-18 to head back across the big pond and be closer to his home. Semi-retired Captain Yngvar Knutsen came aboard that day for 2 cruises, through 5-5-18. Don't know who will be next and/or if that person will be the one in regular rotation with Capt. Thorsson or another temp.

I thought it was supposed to be a new woman captain, Captain Adriana coming after Capt Yngvar did 2 sailings. You'll have to come back here and post her full name!

Could I please be reminded ...

 

The captain who has 'started rotation' is the one who is on leave. Is that correct?

 

I should probably change that to "started contract". Started rotation (contract) is the day that captain came on board and starting working. The other captain has no date after his name, indicating he is on vacation/break/holiday

Captain Trym Selvag shows up on both Majesty and Radiance. Is he changing ships?:confused:

 

I'm not sure, the poster that said Capt Trym was on MJ also said they got the impression he was there filling in. But after 1 contract on JW, Capt Espen will be moving to RD. So someone is moving off Radiance but I don't know who.

Surprised to see that Captain Trym is now on Majesty considering that he spent over 5 years on Oasis.

 

Looking forward to sailing with Captain Rob in 5 weeks on SY. I wouldn't book a cruise based on who is the Captain, but I am glad to have the opportunity to sail with one of Royal's best. I've seen him do Captain's Corner on YouTube and he seems really interesting to listen to.
