Novice cruiser w/ question about cabin

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the FOS in June and have booked an E1 deluxe private balcony stateroom. Looking at the cabin on the ship it has and asterick and states stateroom has 3rd pullman bed availiable. Stupid question, I admit, what does that mean? What is a pullman bed?

That is where the room steward sleeps at night :)

Not to mention having your cabin serviced first thing since he is right there.

Total off topic but one of the comedians (one of the good ones) on a cruise had this bit about going to the bathroom in the middle of the night and coming out to having his bed made and a towel animal on his bed. It then leads to him looking under his bed and finding that his steward lives under there. Hilarious. And, when you have a good steward, seems so true!
