We just came back from a cruise on the NCL Jewel and stayed in the Haven. We have had butlers before but Cris is the BEST. He sets the bar very high for the other butlers. We hope to see him again next November when he is on the Breakaway!

Ravi on the Jewel is the the best IMO, great personality and is very good at his job. I would sail anywhere with him.

Wish I could say our most recent butler was the best ever, but, alas he was just mediocre.

 

Now the best-ever butler, in our experience, was John D'Souza. And that's why he's a concierge now!

My shout out goes to Ahkmed and the other Butlers on the Spirit.

 

The ship has fewer suites and Butlers than the other NCL ships, but the Butlers assigned go above and beyond to make your vacation enjoyable.

 

We were invited to a large "get together" in / with the occupants of the owners suite (We were in a mere penthouse) Between drinks, finger foods, dinner, and an escort to the late show, etc. it took the entire butler staff.

 

My Butler (Ahkmed) commented to me the next day that he hadn't enjoyed serving a group of guests as much as he had on this cruise.

 

We worked those guys to the bone. Yet they were always there, with a smile, willing to assist at every turn.

 

It also helps when you make a small comment about "French Press Coffee and Blueberry Muffins" and they are waiting in your room when you wake every the morning.

 

The little things that the Spirit staff does for the passengers (not only the Butlers) is the reason that many of us think it is the best Ship and Crew in the fleet.
