2013 Identity Captain, Hotel Director, Concierge, etc.

Does anyone know where concierge Kadek Astawa is currently serving?

 

He was our butler on the Gem in January (fabulous!), and had been promoted to concierge before we went back on the Gem in April (stupendous!).

 

Would love to see him again!!!

Love Kadek, he is currently on vacation and will joining the Breakaway the end of October.

Sad news about Mr. K... we won't get to see him, and the NCL megaships tend to wear out concierges. :(

Becky, I believe he is going to be Assistant Concierge on the Breakaway. Hopefully, he will not get so worn out. He will also have assistants.

 

He is a great person. I will miss seeing him on the Gem.

Just off the Breakaway.

 

CD = Dan the Man (we were told Sinan will be replacing him soon)

HD = Hugo (on board through Jan 17th)

Concierge = Ruth Haggar (will be leaving for the Getaway)

Captain = Hakan Svedung

F & B Manager = Mustafa

Casino Manager = Jules (leaving for the Epic and then briefly for the Sun and then onto Getaway)

Casino Host = RiMarie (leaving for vacation until November and then onto the Sun)

We have had an enthusiastic young lady for our butler - Jennifer. She's one of the best. We hope NCL sees her potential and promotes her soon. She would be an excellent concierge.

 

Did she say if she would be back in January?

Virginia is going to the Jewel after her vacation.

 

Also I need to correct the spelling of Roel. He seems very nice. We've noticed Virginia depending on the butlers for many of the responsibilities usually reserved for the concierge.

We were on the Dawn in 2012 and met a woman named Jennifer who was a member of the waitstaff. She was so good that we stalked her at dinner time, asking if she was working that night and requesting a seat in her area. She remembered our names, even when she was working in the morning serving coffee. She had a great sense of humor and was very smart. We loved her. I wouldn't be the least surprised if this was the same Jennifer.

That's our Jennifer! She's working her way up the ladder.

 

We're taking her to dinner in LeBistro Wednesday evening and leaving a sizable tip for her.

I do believe this is the same Jennifer we had as our butler. She just finished her 10th tour with NCL and is off for 2 months to enjoy her little boy. She was formerly a teacher before joining the cruise industry. I hope we will be able to see her again next November when we're back on the Dawn. She would be the ideal Concierge. She reminded me of Bruce Van Der Boon in that she was everywhere, always on top of the game.
