I just came off the Sun last Monday. Here is the information you might have been looking for:

We had the pleasure of having dinner with Ronny Borg on our December 2011 cruise on the Sun. Very nice man, easy to talk to. We really enjoyed our evening.

 

And I'm very happy to see Brian Walters' name as hotel director. He's been with NCL for many years -- maybe 35 or so? We sailed with him on our March 2010 cruise on the Star. We had booked an aft penthouse on deck 8 months before we sailed, and, as it turned out, ours was the first cruise after the unexpected drydock where they turned the nice, quiet shops that were supposed to be below us into the very loud, booming Spinnaker Lounge. We were the first passengers to discover just how loud and disruptive it could be. Brian was wonderful to us, and both he and Simone, the concierge, kept us informed as to what was happening and how corporate was going to deal with this problem. Despite the noise, we had a wonderful cruise.

 

I hope that both are still on board three weeks from today!:D

To know Jenny is to love her. Almost every review of the Gem on the NCL thread includes a comment about how great she is. She loves her job and truly wants to make sure that every guest has a great time. Make sure you go to your Meet & Greet; once you know who she is, you'll always see her out around the ship.

Like others have said - Jenny is AWESOME! I just about jumped out of my chair when I saw she's joining the Gem tomorrow! Right when I board!! :D

 

Same thing happened in March for us too!

 

She's just an incredible person and a wonderful asset to Norwegian (and the Gem)!

How is Carlos as Concierge ?

We are going own the Jewel in Jan. I called today and was told that John would be leaving the day we got on and Virginia would take over. I love John and will miss him. I'm sure Virginia will be great but have never sailed with her. We are leaving Jan. 12.

We are on the Jewel in 2 weeks and we were told John D Sousa will be the Concierge. Good to know he is "loved" :)

We had Virgina as Concierge and she was wonderful…a sweetheart!
