Bob - Thanks to you and to Rick for providing the photo of the JS. For our next adventure on Adventure, we were able to get the same cabin, 1106.

Thanks again.

Glad I could help, and thanks to Rico for the photo.

There won't be any shortage of those.

I can't wait to discover what's available beyond the bar menus. I'm a big fan of Scotch and IPA beer; and there are a couple of threads talking about craft beers or good Scotch bottles (Macallan, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, etc.) but it seems that this info came from bigger ships than AOS.

I'll report after our cruise (May 18th)!

Hi fellow AOS lovers :) I guess this is our new home!!!

Thanks for the nice comments, I am so glad that my thread helped so many people make the right decision to sail the Adventure ;)

Looking forward to chatting with everyone here from now on!

You're a pretty popular person on this board! Do you always sail Adventure?

Neil

Not sure but just came back from Symphony, answer was no according to the casino people.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get Seapass card punched a hole in it on Adventure of the Seas, so that I can put a lanyard on it?

Yes, as of right now, it's possible on Adventure.

I am coming onto this thread a little bit late. We are booked on the Adventure for the Snowbird Migration Cruise next year in 1828 (one of the new Panoramic Oceanview cabins). Are there any pictures of one of those cabins yet? I did a search and came up empty, bur I am on my phone and I am more limited than when I am on my laptop at home. Thanks!

Just got off of AOS and yes, only at the Logo Store, they will take the standard 3-hole paper puncher to punch a hole in your Sea Pass Card

Hi, for some reason I can't see where to start a new Post. So this looked close to what I was wondering. We went on Celebrity about 4 years ago and then 2 years ago. We tipped our bartenders although we had packages. We bought a lot of ones. The staff seemed to appreciate it the first time but last cruise there was no extra service or friendliness. We were disappointed with the friendliness of the staff all around that is why we are trying Royal again. (We complained but that service was also non caring!)

What has been the groups opinions on extra tips?

Thanks in advance! Almost boarding!!

On AD right now and have been for the past two weeks. The staff is amazingly friendly with or without extra tips. We don’t do the beverage package but all of the staff that we have tipped have been surprised by the additional tip and expressed their gratitude.

Izumi on Royal Promenade (replacing Sports Bar). I really like the location!

I know I'm a little late to the party here, but since Izumi has replaced Gravity sports bar, is there anyplace onboard one can view an NFL or college football game in November?

Pool big screen. They have added TV screens to Schooner and the Pub.

Apologies for this question as it will seem trivial and a bit silly to some.

The photos of the new waterslides on Adventure appear to show a clear section of the tunnel that goes out over the sea before coming back to finish on deck.

I struggle a bit with heights so that would rule it out for me :(

Can anyone confirm please.

Yes this is true. But you are going so fast that you won't realize that it is even clear.

Another thing you may want to know- the stairway leading up to the slide has a clear plexiglass front. google for pictures. They will let people up about 10 at a time to avoid prolonged waits in this 'stair tower' as it gets very hot and humid/foggy up there, but you will still be waiting about 10-15 minutes at the top for your turn.

I can't thank you enough as I'm both afraid of heights and caustrophobic.

Any recent Adventure sailors notice if a person gets weighed every time they use the water slide? Or is it once per day or week?

Asking for a friend ;)

My husband is maybe 10 lbs over average weight for his height (tall) and they weighed him on his first visit and gave him an orange wristband which allowed him to use one of two slides. (Apparently one of the slides has a lower weight limit and he could not use that one). He said they weighed the 'bigger' people and that the scale seemed to be weighing heavy by about 7 lbs.

I guess you could try to get on first thing when it opens to avoid a wait. We kept thinking it was closed because they had a rope up but it was because they were limiting the amount of people waiting up in the tower. (Apparently it gets too hot for some people. My husband said it was hot!) So people were waiting on deck by the rope and as people came down the slides they would let a few more people up. I didn't do it for the same reasons as you.
