Did you get all the premium perks on both cruises; we are doing our first premium cruise on Sept 28 and then another on Oct 5th. both are suppose to be the Casino premium package. It sounds great from what I read on this thread....dot ps; congrats on your jackpot

On the first day of the second leg I hit a jackpot for $1600 :D it did seem like the casino was less crowded on the second leg, also I got the drinks on us card automatically because I accumulated over 5000 points on the first leg.

I was on the June 1, 2013 Freedom 8 day sailing, but not on a casino deal. I played table games (blackjack, 3 card poker) every night but with red or green chips so definitely not a high roller. I found the casino management to be very generous with the comps, earned my free drinks on 3rd night, treats in room, and 3 bottles of wine with dinner. I have wondered whether it was just the Freedom as I have never received much of anything on other Carnival cruises. Also never left the ship with more money than I came with :) Loved the entire crew in the casino, they made my cruise so enjoyable.

I am a table player also and until the recent changes, table play did not get a fair share of the rating system in my opinion. Now, every time you put money on the table to buy chips for whatever you are playing be sure to put your S&S card with it. On my last cruise, I got the drinks on us card the 3rd night and now have $100 waiting for me in the casino on my upcoming cruise....and I did not play more than I normally do.

Great :) We will try it out in a couple of weeks :)

Seems like there is no consistency with Carnivals response to one's play in the casino. Wife and I played quarter slots for about 4-5 hr per day on our 2 prevoius cruises and received nothing from Carnival. I emailed Carnival and just got a response to call (800)522-7466BsAt4ube4GblQIAAAAASUVORK5CYII=. I'll call later but they do not seem to have any kind of policy on comps.

Called the players club and was told we were each entitled to a $25 casino. Check in with the cage to claim. Also told that once we do our 3rd cruise in 2014 our perks will improve. Comps not as good as Vegas but better than nothing.

I emailed too for our cruise coming up and was told to call too

When I called I was told we qualified for the cruise cash but anything else has to come from the casino host or casino manager

I got the same response since I booked under the PTC with $!00 casino cash. Let's hope our hosts likes us!

No,because only the first cruise was a premier casino cruise, looking forward to doing another one in November.

I'm eyeballing the 11/16 Freedom (Premier) sailing -- same itinerary we just did, but I'm not going for the ports!!

Love that horseradish! I will have to add to a small container and bring next time. The cocktail sauce on the ship imho leaves a lot to be desired.

Here it is... waiting to be unleashed on the Breeze earlier this year:

We had already "burned" through about half the jar by whatever night this was! :D

WOW if it is that good Im going to have to try it. I like a good sinus clearing

Is the drinks on us card, only good in the casino while playing or can you use it everywhere on the ship?

The drink card is only valid while playing. When we've had the "free drink" perk through the casino on both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean, you can also drop by the casino bar to wet your whistle. That's handy if you're out and about or on the way to a show. Can't recall how it worked on NCL - but I'll be reminded in just a couple more weeks!

I will be in the casino while GF enjoys the spa. Winner winner

Booked Breeze cruise?

I'm guessing we'll all know soon (good luck)!!

Hoping it's more than just a promise of a fruit basket and a couple bottles of water!

Tom

BBC = Bounce Back Cruise (which really means that they already knew I had another cruise booked)... Should mean BullBadCrap as I played more on this past 6 day cruise than I did on my 8 day back in January and was offered less.. :(

So, not that I care, but this "improvement" doesnt seem to be or work for everyone ... I will tell you that I played more on tables this past week than I did on the machines.. I am usually just a machine player..(although I did get the 1500 Drinks On Us card by day 3)... I'm thinking that they are not giving much for table games...

Not with either... You would have hated to be on the week I was on... There was no screaming, yelling, jumping up and down... The blackjack table was actually empty most of the week, no action at the Crap Table at all... The electronic Texas Hold Em was busy during the week..

As I had hated the machines on the Breeze in January, and they didn't change them as of last week is the reason I mostly played 3 Card Poker... One couple that I met at the table lost over $50,000 that week ... they were there on some kind of free Carnival Players Club promo but were upset because they were originally offered a free balcony, took the 2 kids along with them and were switched to 2 inside cabins... Can you imagine dropping over $50 grand and getting inside cabins ????? They did get the Drinks On Us card and a free dinner at the Steakhouse one night, but they said that was pretty much it :( They too, couldn't hit anything at the table all week... and let me tell you on sea days, they were seriously at the table from 11:00AM until closing...and I left them there at 2AM on 2 nites...

OUCH !!

They could have at least given them two ocean views... (just kidding - should have been allowed to steer the ship)!

I've seen a few people lose that kind of change, though not on a Carnival ship. Again... OUCH !

I think I did recieve one a year ago for a 3 to 5 day but I think my DW tossed it out because we could not go during the times stated. Side bar comment on a few posts I hear over and over again about smoking in the casino. It does not bother me at all maybe they should physically seperate a smoking and non smoking. I would love to smoke a big fat Cigar!! when I am playing cards. I bet the smoking casino will have a lot more people in it.

Not to be nosey, but since I got the same letter, I am curious. Did they offer you things on the cruise that you already had booked or is this a discount or perk for a future booking? We are debating about which cruise to book for next year and if they wanted to give me a discount, I would wait to book. Thanks for any info!

Just booked a return trip on the Freedom (another Premier sailing) for Nov. 16 !!

If we can come close to the fun we had this last time, I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves! :)

Tom

Congrats. Hopefully it will be even better

Im curious do you have the casino discounts listed under your special offers on Carnival website.

Perhaps (great word, huh?) if I'm up by the 4th day like I was before I should STOP... ;)

Nothing shows there.

Still have my Bounce Back letter to use - figure I'll find a weekend Sensation sailing. That way I only miss a couple hours of work - since I can work until almost 2 and head over to the port!

Easier said than done:p

So that doesn't show up?

A couple hours ago, I found a page full of the discount codes, for all the casino perks in my offer section. Now I cant find it

Not nosey, curious !!! lol I wasn't offered anything, nada, nothing probably because I already have a cruise booked... I did, however, mention to Marti that we are considering cancelling the Sunshine and booking either the Breeze or Victory for a b2b as its cheaper for us, no airfare and she did tell me to call her back if we were going to do that but didnt mention why...

The only thing she told me is that there would be cash waiting for me at the Casino Cage but nothing else was mentioned... I would definitely call, and let me know if they offer you anything different with the same code... Good luck
