Suspicious phone call re: free cruise

Recommended Posts

I just got a phone call from someone saying I had won a free 4 or 5 day cruise on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, or Norwegian. They said all I had to pay was taxes today, and asked if I was interested. I said no, that I didn't trust calls like this and hung up. I cannot imagine it was legit. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten a call like this. I didn't catch the name they first gave me.

If you didn't enter a contest, you can't "win". A legit contest will send you a registered letter to inform you of your win in most cases. At best it was a timeshare offer, at worst it was someone trying to get your credit card info. You did the right thing!

Hey, I can go on that free cruise and fly to get there with the voucher I just got for two FREE roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the US.:D However, I was warned if I didn't redeem them in the next ten days, they would AWARD them to someone else.:D:D
