Pocket knife

This maybe not politically correct to ask here, but someone told me that on a recent Disney Cruise, they just let them on through to the ship with a pocket knife in his pocket.

?? That's ok??

LOL, nobody in specific. Some may not think it good to carry on a pocket knife.

Always cruise with one or the other or both. They go onboard in my checked baggage though. I certainly don't see any danger. If someone wanted to do something there are lots of steak knives to be had.

Oh I see, :) . I recently went on with my needlepoint scissors & needles, no prob. My son had his Swiss Army knife. The airline was ok with that stuff also.

I always travel with a small pocket knife. It goes into my checked luggage on both the plane and the ship. I do not take it off the ship when in the ports of call.

Either DH or I (or both) will always have our Swiss Army knife in our checked luggage. Like a PP, we would never take it off the ship when in port.

As long as the blade is under a certain length (3" I want to think) it is allowed.

You might want to call and ask them what an acceptable blade length is.

I had a small knife [my backup sailing knife; about 1 and quarter inch blade] sent to the naughty room because the blade locked.

 

I had no trouble with a swiss army knife - longer blade, but non locking [carried mostly for the corkscrew ;) ]

I always carry a small pocket knife. However, I do put it in my checked bag. I lost a good one once because I forgot that it was in my pocket when I went through airport security.

Unless they're going to use plastic knives and forks in the dining rooms, there'd be no point restricting penknives.

Always carry a letherman tool and a swiss army knife im my suitcase and have never had a problem.
