Your Top 3 Reasons...For Remaining Loyal To Carnival

We will continue to sail on Carnival, but I don't think the right word for us is loyal since we will and have sailed on other lines. In my mind being loyal would be only sailing Carnival. Using that defination we are not loyal to any line. We would sail anyline that met our wants for a particular vacation at a price we are willing to pay for it. We have never had a bad experience on anyline and have always felt that we had gotten what we had expected, if not more, for the price we paid. That puts all lines in the running when we start are searches for a cruise that will meet our wants. I can tell you the top 3 reasons we had for choosing a Carnival cruise over others when we did choose them:

1. Price

2. Embarkation Port/Itinerary

3. Timing of the cruise...does it fit into the time we have off allowing for travel.

1. Value - what you receive for the price paid

2. Dining is exceptional; better than HAL and on par if not better than Princess

3. Carnival knows how to provide FUN for their guests - pool parties, karaoke with a live band, and the family comedy shows

Bottom line is - we enjoy the food, we have tons of fun, and we get a great value for our money. I can only compare Carnival to HAL and Princess and for me and my family, we prefer Carnival.

Even though I've sailed Carnival more than all other cruise lines combined, I have no loyalty to them. If I'm inclined to book a cruise vacation, they start in the same place as every other line and have to win my booking, based on price, proximity to home port and, to a lesser extent, itinerary.

However, the bar keeps getting higher because, while some people like the "comfort" of doing the same thing over again, I prefer the adventure of not knowing what to expect. So for me to stick with Carnival the next time, it's not just that the itenerary has to be good on a ship departing from a port that I can get to relatively easy (i.e., 3 hour flight or less) for a price less than the competition. The price has to be a lot less. Then the next time, the price has to be a lot, lot less or eventually the price difference won't be enough to induce me back to the "same old, same old", I'll pay a little more to try something different.

1. Price. Especially, since I now cruise solo mostly and also have to fly to the port at a substantial extra cost. No other cruise line can match Carnivals price even at the 200pc rate for solo. Though now they have specials where there are no supplement. So, bottom line price.

2. I have the best PVP who know exactly what I want, and what Im willing to pay. She never forgets to keep me informed what is avaialable.

3. This one is hard. I used to like the food very much, but last Carnival cruise was 4 years ago, and things have changed and are still a changing. So not sure anymore if the food will be a draw, till I get to experience it for myself. So 3. I will say is that Carnival's casino has usually been nice to me.:D. Not in an earth shattering way, but sometimes enough to bring a nice little stash of bills back home with me.:)

Although we prefer NCL overall, my wife and I will continue to cruise on Carnival for the following 3 reasons:

1 - Comedy shows (adult R-rated of course)

2 - Half Moon Cay (paradise on earth)

3 - Cheap prices (good vacation value)

What are your top 3 reasons for remaining loyal to Carnival?

1. Overall cruise value

2. Staff on the ship

3. Still have itineraries im interested in.

For us number one is Carnival is usually the lowest price for where we want to go. After that would be the most itineraries to places we like to go and ports we can get to without having to fly. Finally Carnival has always given us what we feel is good value in the overall experience for the price we paid. That being said we cruise other lines and will only continue to be loyal to Carnival as they continue to offer the things mentioned above.

I have always been loyal to Carnival because:

1) It has always been affordable and a decent value for the price paid

2) Generally fun atmosphere - it has constant stuff to do whereas other lines don't always

3) Food, mdr experience, wcmc.

Recently, numbers one and three have begun to lose their attractiveness. I have also had some of the best memories of my adult life while on Carnival sailings, but I have gotten to the point where I am open to going on other lines and will no longer be an exclusive Carnival customer. There are too many options out there to stay with the same one all the time. But Carnival cruising is still a better value than most land based vacation options.

We have sailed with Carnival 6 (soon to be 7) times. Never wanted to sail with any other line as we enjoyed Carnival so much we thought we would be disappointed (we shall find this out also).

My top things I love about Carnival:

**The price and what you get for the $$$$

**Serenity deck and whirlpools

**Thelassatherapy pool

**Early saver price drops

**the food

**The comfy beds

My Loyalty remains with Carnival because:

1. Price- I can always find a cruise in what ever price range I am looking for.

2. Even when we have had a bad experience-cruiser had heart attack and had to divert to another port, Swine Flu Cruise- Carnival has always made it right for us.

3. Crew- Husband had surgery 4 months before last cruise and had some special dietary needs. Carnival went out of their way to take care of him. He never wanted for anything.

We do look at other cruise lines from time to time but always come back to Carnival. Yes there are problems on every Cruise Line not just Carnival. That is why we stay loyal.

We have done our last 20 or so cruises on carnival but after one next month we will try Princess.

After that we will consider our options but why would you have loyalty to Carnival? Have always enjoyed ourselves but now is time to play the field.

You'll be glad to did! We still find CCL offers value but having just come off The NCL Sun, we found them equal to CCL in every way, and their MDR food was better AND served hot. We'll still cruise CCL again though if the itinerary merits consideration. :)

Thats how I feel, time to play the field and find the best value for us.

Dont really understand this loyalty to Carnival thing. When they cut back on loyalty program after saying they would improve it, showed me it was time to check pricing on all cruise lines and do what is best for us.

DW and I are not loyal to any cruise line, but are loyal to cruising.

1. CCL is usually the cheapest, but not always. You can catch specials on RCI, NCL, and others periodically.

2. CCL rooms are among the largest at sea for insides, OV, and standard balconies.

3. MDR food is equal or better than RCI. (IMO)

We aren't loyal to Carnival, we cruise other lines also, but in Carnival's favor:

1 the pace on the ships seems to suit us better than the other lines we've been on

2 we haven't had a bad cruise on Carnival

3 Carnival tends to have the lowest available cost

Yeah, what he said!

Any idea where these 2 have been lately? Also haven't heard from Mr. Pete. Curious as to what their comments would be about loyalty.

I believe firefly has moved her business to RCCL.

Zydo or sarge or whatever name he would use now would say all is wonderful at Carnival.

As you can see from my signature I am not loyal to Carnival . We enjoy Carnival especially the trivia , the food & the comedy club . Rooms are large and dress is casual . We are leaving Carnival for now because we are ready for more exotic cruises . We are burned out on the Caribbean . Have done Alaska , Panama Canal , Bermuda & New England ,Canada . Its time to explore South America & the baltics but we will probably return at some point to Carnival because it is a great value despite what the critics think .The grass is not always greener elsewhere though the entertainment is better on NCL.
