And this why I would Never book an early flight. Galveston's weather can be tricky.

Have a great cruise! We do the same itinerary in about a month. Will you try to get a pic of the Sage menu (night 5)? I've never heard of it or seen it.

Even though there is a delay in the disembarkation, if we arrive at the port around 10:30 am, do you think they can let us drop off our luggage at the terminal first then park our car (light house parking ).

Yea sorry about the menus. My plan to get them off the tv didn't work because each menu is 14 screens :(

 

I posted above what a few of the main dishes are for each menu....in sure somewhere on this site someone has posted it :)

Hopefully the captain will make an announcement after docking. Not sure how they are going to handle getting everyone off.

Did a screen capture on the live web cam of her backing in right past the Magic.

I can't tell if it is raining...everything is wet from the fog.

 

We are a couple feet from the dock. Semis are unloading food and lots of folks standing around waiting for us.

Weather report says there is a greater chance of rain 70% from 11:00am through the early afternoon. Wife and daughter are packing rain ponchos heading out to the port

Just had an announcement that we are waiting on clearance. Asked everyone to stay off the stairs and away from the gangway.

I would go ahead and head down. The line to carry off your own bags (meeting in the Metropolis Theater) has about 500 people in it.

This is a mess. What an absolute disaster. I'll post more later, but this is awful.

 

They are blocking elevators, lines everywhere nowhere to sit (I am with disabled passengers).

 

They won't even let us get to the area to walk off.

I'm still at home in Houston. Just received an automated phone call from Royal Caribbean saying that check-in has been delayed. The check-in window now is 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Did the concierge not give you a place to wait? Normally if you are at that location they walk you to the front of the line and don't get stuck in the long queues.

As usual, the problem is the guests. Everyone wants to be first.

No matter what the cruise line recommends, OP believe it does not apply to them. IF RCI tried to control the situation, everyone would start a riot.

Basically, people are rude:(
