Strange things on a cruise

There was a guy on our last cruise (Grandeur) who wore costumes on several occasions. But, they were two part costumes like two people in one (woman with baby on her back) or a person riding an animal like a large bird. I honestly can't remember exactly what he wore because I tried hard to forget it. Just really weird.

And, coolcat12, yes that's a weird thing with the "tails". My youngest DS and DDIL go to renaissance festivals and they see them there too. I had heard about it. Another really weird thing.

On a HAL cruise a couple had a big paper sticker which the ship put on them for embarkation saying "Suite Guest". They managed to peel it off and put it on what they were wearing EVERY day. :D

not on rcl but on a different line about 20 years ago, I got to see woman going topless. Unfortunately they were in their 60's and extremely overweight

I also had a woman join my wife and myself in the hot tub and proceeded to splash water on her hairy armpits. My wife refuses to use a hot tub other than our own to this day!

A dog on the Freedom. His owner had health issues which required the dog's assistance. The was well behaved and trained but it made me think about the challenges involved, especially with where they go potty. My DH spoke with the owner and there is a place that the dog went potty during sea days. Amazing that they were able to accommodate this couple and the dog. I'm a big dog lover so it was always a treat to see them but it caused me to miss my 3 k9 babies at home.

Greyhounds? What interesting dogs! I didn't realize they slept as much as the do. A friend does rescue....and they also chewed the armrests off in his car, because they were bored? :D

I know what you mean how it looks but there is no such thing as bras for men and they can't help that from happening.

I've heard they do make something for this--the "manssiere", also known as "the bro"

On the GTS last year, it was mid-evening when there is that lull in certain parts of the ship that make the forward elevator lobby on deck 8 deserted. I was approaching the lobby from our room and heard that "DING" indicating that an elevator had arrived. Naturally I hurried my steps and turned into the lobby only to see a man's rear end sticking out of the elevator. As I walk into the lobby and approach the elevator, the rear-end in question cuts loose with a rather spectacular...um...well...fart. Not wanting to miss the rare elevator opportunity, I never broke stride and walked right onto the car declaring "Nice one!" The young man and his new wife absolutely broke into hysteria (they were, I was to learn newlyweds.) He was beet red with embarassment while his wife could not stop laughing. I too got a great laugh and a wonderful story to share.

Dear friend of mine, before I met DH. We were on the Jewell....forward on the helicopter pad as we left St. Thomas. Quiet, near sunset, ship not steaming fast yet.

My friend is built like Pooh, obviously Gay, "boy scout...never breaks the rules", everybody knew him at the end of the cruise, everybody loves him, gentle spirit.

We were on a bench enjoying a quiet conversation. Suddenly he jumps up, runs forward with his silly scream/giggle and strikes the "Rose and Jack Titantic pose" all the way forward.

I'm sure on the bridge they said something like........we got ANOTHER one!!!

28 days my friend joins DH and I in Alaska on the Radiance. I wonder if we will have a repeat.

Seeing two men (who were Royals top cruisers) dressed crazily that I can't even explain it! They wore head pieces, carried purses that were stuffed animal dogs (pink), wore total red outfits with sparkles, very bizarre. Has anyone else ever seen them, after all, they have over 1,000 points. They were on the Adventure for 4 months. Maybe someone can explain them to me!!!!!!:D

OMG! I was going to say the same thing about them! We just got off the Adventure 2 weeks ago and saw them! We asked our waiter and he told us they live on the Adventure for 9 months out of the year. Apparently one or both of them owned/own casinos in Europe.

We saw them last November Adventure TA believe that they have been on Adventure all the time. They where sat at a table of two just behind us most nights arrived late and made a grand entry, disliked by the waiters who all dread having to serve them. Take it both where still wearing top hats in the dining room??

Apparently so, but we were on deck 5 (MTD) so didn't have to witness the event. Not sure about the top hats as they wore some strange head gear throughout the cruise.

We saw these two chaps on Serenade last year in the med. When I saw them the first night I though they were part of the entertainment  They spent a lot of time in the Solarium.

I've heard of this couple before, I seem to remember some one who had spoken to them saying they are both from Denmark but hate flying so they sail over on the Westbound TA and stay on board every cruise in the Caribbean and then come back on the Eastbound TA.

We where 8.30 dining, a couple of nights one was wearing a red suit and red top hat and the other in blue suit with matching top hat, other nights dressed like something from the Raj of India court.

Several years ago, I was in the Serenity area and there was a real hairy man that slathered oil all over his body as he posed by the rail.

Oh, did I mention he had on what looked like a speedo with no elastic in the legs for it all to hang out.

Mapleleaforever- Not sure you are aware there is a condition called gynecomastia that causes that due to hormone changes which is normal for men to go through as they age. There are a number of medications that also cause this condition which include anti-androgens, anabolic steroids, anti-anxiety medications such as valium, tricyclic antidepressants and other medications such as antibiotics and ulcer medications.

Conditions can cause this in men such as regular aging, hyperthyroidism, kidney failure as well as liver failure.

I know what you mean how it looks but there is no such thing as bras for men and they can't help that from happening.

Pretty sure the poster was referring to man boobs. They are fat and happen to guys who are overweight. Many can help it.

I too believe there are some men who should not go around without their shirts off.

What is the strangest thing you have ever seen on a cruise, not counting what goes on at the Quest?

My very first cruise on a 4 day Carnival, a best man from an on board wedding went down the slide in his tux. He was quite wasted.

Lol! Hubby did not on Mariner of the seas. We were docked facing Carnival Triumph's back which had a good many of their suite guests looking out at the water, plus a bunch up on the lido and sports deck looking out. He ran up to the edge and yelled "I am king of the world!" silly thing,I was really embarrassed but he got quite a laugh from all those Carnival folks.

Great save! And at least he was considerate enough to fart OUTSIDE the elevator!

We sailed Indy in February, and there were service dogs on our cruise - about 10 or 12 of them, their owners and various family members. Loved seeing the dogs out and about on the ship! We wondered the same thing as you about where they go potty and happened upon an area in the aft part of the ship on deck 4 for with 4 or 5 sandbox-sized boxes full of mulch. Didn't realize at the time that it was for the dogs, but it dawned on us a couple hours later when one of our fellow cruisers and her service dog got off the elevator on deck 4. :)
