cruiseagain2 Posted May 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2014 Is there a way to get cash for use in the casino without having to pay a fee?
gogetter Posted May 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2014 I believe and correct me if i am wrong. Just use your sail and sign card. OR go to guests services and ask for cash on your s&s or better yet, just bring it with you.

sammee Posted May 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2014 I couldn't remember for the life of me. So the slot machines accept cash? I'll be sure to set aside what I'm willing to lose. I couldn't remember how I played back in 2009.
evandbob Posted May 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2014 The slots accept paper money, no coins. Largest denomination accepted is a C- Note or $100 bill.

Rosefloater Posted May 8, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 8, 2014 Be sure to play the slots for a while first, though. You just need to play 5-10 times. If you don't really want to play the slots, then find a 3-reel penny slot machine (not a computerized cartoon type) and play nine lines, 1 or 2 credits each line. I find these to be the lowest slot amounts. The cartoon type machines are at least 20 lines.

bailey57 Posted May 8, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 8, 2014 Yeah, taking cash through the S/S card that's linked to a credit card is not necessarily a good thing for some folks (including me). Waaay too easy to spend more than it seems. Next time, I put cash on deposit. When it's gone, it's gone.
Davey Wavey Posted May 8, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 8, 2014 I saw a lady in her 70's playing roulette just keep charging her S&S account and playing $50 chips. By my count after she had lost almost $5000 the host came and said her DEBIT CARD was rejected for hitting the daily maximum. The woman just started crying and said, "What have I done? I can't believe you guys let me spend my life savings like that without stopping me. How will I pay my rent? etc..." Sad stuff but hopefully she got a free cruise outta it or something. She may get free drinks in the casino next time but not a free cruise. $5000 is a LOT of money but not to everyone. That could be chump change to some people. If her "life savings" is only around $5000 shes in trouble and probably won't be able to get those free drinks anyway. Casinos nor any other entity can be responsible for the irresponsible actions of people.

evanAction Posted May 8, 2014 #19 Share Posted May 8, 2014 Best way to do it is what others said about the slots. Charge you S&S on a slot, spin a couple times and withdraw at the cage. I believe tables charge you a % to charge to S&S

Would up with a 750 tab last week for a three day cruise. Had a blast though! Sent from my SM-G900P using Forums mobile app
thebsinmiss Posted May 9, 2014 #24 Share Posted May 9, 2014 Saw all types on the cruise. People playing the penny slots and looking like that was all they could afford to loose up to some guy playing blackjack at a table by himself with 300 a spot (thought the table limit was lower but must have got a pit boss to override it). We took cash in the amount we were willing to loose (and expected to loose). Only played table games and to be honest the staff were such faceless, non-speaking robots we only played two nights and stopped well short of our gambling budget. Actually brought cash home from a cruise !
