Happy and Memorial Day, combined into one statement, has always seemed paradoxical to me. There has to be a better phrase. Maybe something like Thoughtful Memorial Day or Memorable Memorial Day; something a bit more somber.

These puppies, born 9 weeks ago, are named after fallen heros. They are on their way to becoming service dogs for our returning veterans.
