Carnival Gift Card - 10% Bonus Offer

Recommended Posts

Here is the fine print on the cards:

"Carnival Gift Cards can be used on almost anything: towards the purchase of a Carnival cruise, activities/shore excursions, and redeemed onboard toward the Sail & Sign account for gifts, drinks, and fun. Using your gift card is easy but do not share this email, as it is the same as cash."

The cards I purchased indicate "This e-card does not expire." The promotional cards state "This is a promotional gift card and the card expires on 6/13/2015." That is why I applied the promotional cards first to the balance of my booking.

Thanks Cathysue62 for the "fine print"!!

Has anyone found out if you get double points on the Carnival credit card for purchasing the gift cards? I'm just short and could use the double points.

Thanks,

Penny:)

Yep....I bought $1800 to pay off my cruise and received 3600 points..win win all the way around.

Thanks so much. I love the savings, we're just applying all to the cruise. We have had no price drops for our Breeze cruise on Jan. 3. This promotion is a nice help.

We did the Dream this past Jan, and had 4 price drops throughout the summer, hope they start coming along for the Breeze.

Yes, thank you to the OP of this. I paid off our September cruise this week using these gift cards. Saved almost $250 with the bonus cards! Our final payment is due in a month and I was going to wait until closer to pay it off, but couldn't resist this bonus.

We bought a gift card in the amount to pay the final payment for our September cruise..........final payment is due next month...........we're with you......we couldn't resist this bonus either!!! Happy cruising in September!!!:)

This promo is just like getting a price drop but without the paperwork! I'm delighted that the OP posted this! Got $300 gift card to use on my b2b's this September! That will go towards my Cheers package! Roll on September! :):):)

We have a cruise booked in January 2016. I was wondering if we can use the promotional gift card to pay off some of the balance or does the cruise have to take place before June of 2015? Thanks for the help in advance!!

Does anyone remember the Future Cruise Certificate ? That was a much better deal for your money

Mom used her last one for our upcoming Sept cruise. Those were a GREAT deal!

I just bought a gift card but when I went into my booking and applied it it never asked for the pin number just the card number. Is this normal? It says the payment was accepted.

Yes, this is normal. I applied 1 online and it worked the same way. I also called and applied 2 more and the representative didn't ask for the pin either, just the card number. I couldn't find a way to do all 3 at the same time, that's why I called. They were the promotional cards, so I wanted to use them first.

I have 2 cruises that have final payments due in the next 7 months. I plan to use the cards on them, but I am waiting to apply the cards until closer to the due date in case there are any price drops that might reduce my balance.

You can use both gift cards to pay on any cruise no matter the sail date.

And yes it is normal to not ask for the pin number. They didn't ask on any of my payments and everything went through just right.

I didn't have my thinking cap on and didn't use my promo GC first, but knock on wood, I haven't missed a cruise yet and I don't plan on missing this one. So hopefully I have nothing to worry about. $170 credit on my S&S to start off sounds like a lot of DOD already paid for.:D

Afternoon all

Has anyone besides me purchased actual gift cards? I did earlier in the week got two e-mails that they were sent the next day.

Today I got the bonus card but not the one I actually purchased. Do they come the same day?

Think I will wait until the middle of next week to see if it arrives. If not first call to Carnival second to Discover.

Thanks for any replies

Pat, I did also. Mine all came in the mail today. I bought a $1000 and a $300. The promos each came separately ($100 and $30) and the other two came in the same envelope.

I just paid off our cruise and have $380 extra to put on our S&S card. Easy $130 extra dollars the way I look at it. Certainly wouldn't have accumulated that much in interest to wait to pay off our cruise.

My cruise is less than the amount on my gift card - does the remainder stay on the card or do I lose it? Think I will have $300 left..... was hoping to use this balance towards my s & s account!

Just go to GS on board and apply the balance to your S&S acct. I think you can do it at the kiosks onboard also.

My apologies if this has already been asked. Anyone know if the gift cards can be used to book a cruise while on a cruise? I've never booked a cruise this way but was planning to while cruising next month. Would be great if I could use the gift card and promotional card to do this.

I am planning on purchasing enough gift cards for my small casino habit...like $800 or so. My understanding is that after I apply the gift card to my account, I can use my S&S account to purchase "chips" in the casino.

My question is this, will I have any trouble cashing out my chips?

You only lose the bonus card within a certain time frame, but for a September cruise you'll be fine either way. You can use your remaining balance on board, but I don't think you can add it to your s&s account beforehand.
