All depends what uou want in a cruise and where you live

They all have great benefits for honeymoons but depends on taste

Sun surf or culture

Also your age will determine partly cruise line etc regards to the mix of people on the ship

Give me a bit more info and can give you some ideas

Greg

Everyone here can make recommendations, but they will all be different since everyone has their own preferences.

I would recommend that you read some cruise guidebooks (Fodors and Frommers are usually available at the library). They have books about cruising in the Caribbean (and other places). They break down the ships by size, typical age of passengers, amenities, etc. They also provide desriptions of each port.

Once you determine what sort of experience you are looking for and what types of excursions and ports might interest you, you will be able to narrow it down.

Thank you both - I'm 43 and my fiancé is 53. We've both been married before and we are very active and fun loving. I have a five and seven year old, so I'm looking forward to some adult time away! 😃. I'd like to cruise out of the US due to the expense of the flights from upstate New York to San Juan.

If you enjoy the beach, water activities and warm weather then a Caribbean cruise would be great. Two good choices are Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas out of Fort Lauderdale and Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. I have been on both ships. They both do Eastern and Western routes.

I would stay away from Carnival.....just my personal preference.

Do not ignore Carnival, they offer a great experience and most times less money then others. Look at there 8 day cruises which will have less kids and in January most colleges are in session. I like the Western Caribbean because I truly enjoyed the Mayan Tours.

Grand Cayman has the beautiful 7 Mile beach, recommend on going to Royal Palms Beach Club.

Cozumel has great shopping and beach clubs.

Roatan you should rent a cab for the day and tour this island for just 70.00 per couple.

GarryKeira, congratulations on your honeymoon cruise.

You may also want to ask friends who you know if they have a good Cruise Travel Specialist who can help you with all of this. They can ask you a lot of questions up front and then try to find potential honeymoon cruses for you.

Congrats. I too have planned a honeymoon cruise for next year.

I wanted to do princess because I felt out of all the cruise lines I've been on, Princess had the best romantic atmosphere on board. I maybe a little jaded with the love boat as I'm old enough to remember it, but I also know that the love boat and today's princess vessels are nothing alike.

unfortunately Princess was too slow in releasing their fall 2015 itinerary so I went with Celebrity which was my fallback. It's better because Princess didn't stop in Panama for our canal crossing while Celebrity did.

My wife and I picked the Navigator out of Texas. The funny thing is that I'm 52 n she's 44. We actually married in 2010 but are just now getting to the honeymoon.
