Freedom of the Seas drydock

Recommended Posts

Bill you read it here a few pages back!

As to outdoor dining on Freedom, there are a few tables on the pool deck outside the windjammer. The other nice idea is to order room service and eat on your balcony if you have one!!!

I just finished hours of touring!!!

They had staterooms all over the ship in every category unoccupied for this trip so we could see all of them. Sadly, the new ocean view forward top are not ready for viewing. There is a sun deck above them, but it is also closed

I'm going to get some food and will post pics and observances soon

bon appetit days@sea! I hope you enjoy your jaunt in the Bahamas and I think you are a hero for thinking of your anxiously waiting fans out here in the cold wintry world when you have only a minimal amount of time to explore.

By the way, searching for a blog on this cruise line will garner more pictures. I am not sure if I am allowed to name the blog, but googling the name matt hochberg will probably get you the same results

Thank you, both. So if I did my counting correctly, then I think I circled 8200. I'm not sure if all those windows are ours or some are part of 8500, but I think I'm close! Can't wait!

(the yellow circled area to the left is my parent's room)

I see two circles, one in front of the ship and one under the hot tub ...

I'm onboard!!!

Here are the new staterooms at top of ship where jogging track used to be.. bc0e8f0d6cd32214112b3890267808d6.jpg

Who wants to be in a cabin with joggers running through it all the time?

I have a question for all you FREEDOM obsessed cruisers. LOL

We sailed on the BRILLIANCE in December ('14) and really liked the outdoor seating area of the BRILLIANCE WindJammer (situated aft). Does the FREEDOM have anything similar or can you recommend a location that may be similar? We really enjoyed having our breakfast/lunch out on the aft deck of the WindJammer.

Freedom has nothing like it, unless you are between the ages of 12 & 17. The teens do have a nice outdoor hangout. You can use it for breakfast - teens don't get up until lunch time.

Again, before lunch, you can go to the outdoor seating for Johnny Rockets ...

I will remind everyone sailing 4/19, get off the ship quick on the 26th

Very quickly.

Aye aye, Captain! Although, I will admit that after a couple of at-sea (cruising) days, I may require a little bit of coaxing. :)

For those currently on Freedom, who is the Activities Manager onboard?

Have a great cruise. I will be cruising Freedom's sister ship, Independence in a couple of weeks and loved this class of ship, when we sailed on Liberty a few years ago. You should have a ball!

Free wifi, Yes. But so far it is very slow. Quite cloudy here today.

Here's some more pics

Giovanni's Table

Stateroom 8328

Same green accents (yuck)

No new carpet in my stateroom, most hallways are new. No new TV since last update.

No noticeable update to bathroom.

Balcony door frame seems new or from last drydock. No new balcony furniture

If I may ask, is that a D1 connecting room? I have one of those next week (yay!) and I was just curious if you could point the tv near the bed, since there is only a chair and not a sofa?

Thanks!
