Just back from my cruise that I won for the Cruise Like A Norwegian Video Contest....

We just came back from a fabulous week on the NCL Getaway!!

For those that may not know, last October/November NCL had a 30 second video contest for their Cruise Like a Norwegian theme song. My entry was the winner. I do owe a huge thank you to all who voted for my video...and as promised I made a full length video of our week long cruise to share with all of you. :)

Thanks again for your support and I hope you enjoy the video!!

Fantastic video as always!! Too bad we did not get a chance to meet on the ship but it looks like you had the relaxing couple's vacation you were looking for. Perhaps we will meet up on a future voyage!

Hi Rochelle, We looked for you at the Oceanair Restaurant last Friday. We waited for about half an hour and then moved on. We were there from 6 to 6:30. Did you end up going?

Yes we were the table right in the middle of the patio with the table cloths. They really did it up nice for us....we were there at 6 ..we were tired as heck with no sleep the night before and though we would stay a couple of hours but somehow we were having such a good time we ended up closing the place LOL Guess you could say we got our second wind. Did you ask the Maitre d' for the Cruise Critic table?

We were in the bar area. There was a large table of people sitting there which I did walk up to and ask if they were with CC. They looked at me real funny...LOL. So I had to explain to them what Cruise Critic was.

 

So sorry that we didn't meet up as I was really looking forward to it.

I hope you enjoyed your cruise. I thought the crew was just terrific...loved them all!! :)

Awesome job! What camera & editing software do you use? I'd love to make something so smooth.

I used a Canon DSLR T3i with a couple of different lenses. I also mounted my camera on a mini pocket size tripod a lot to help keep the shots stable. I used iMovie for editing.

Awesome video! Thank you soo much for 'taking us along' on your vacation!!

 

ps - I am now even more super excited here, as I just got that camera! it IS a great camera, and I'm just learning my way around it...haven't tried doing any videos yet - but I did get that little tiny tripod with the whole kit of stuff. I haven't even tried all the lenses I also got with it. Really excited about using the zoom lens I got. Wonder if I can convince hubby I need another cruise to try out the camera?? LOL
