Exactly the same for us, except that our savings would have been even greater if we had switched. I strongly considered it, but the lure of the long-awaited bowling alley balcony was too strong...

You will definitely know for sure by the time of your cruise... I'm hoping people will report back ASAP, but even if they don't I am in that cabin in March and I will specifically let you know.

Thank you, Adrienne!!!

I promised I would post some pics. We had a great time and enjoyed the upgrades. The staff was great, food was good and we had great weather. Not sure how many pics I can post at one time but will try to post a selection of what we took of the ship itself. We took a lot of these at like 4:30 am so some of them may look dark.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416271384.997145.jpg.6ae79d870d619712f2e3fcbb07d58280.jpg

We have cruised several times on Carnival. The Pride has been our home away from home. Our extended family. Looking forward to cruising again in 19 days. Mike Oliver has been a great friend to us.All questions ever asked were answered.Cruising is our future for a long time we hope.

I've noticed the last two departures have left LATE...Just wondering if this is a common thing? We sail in 5 weeks and I am really hoping that we are leaving the dock when it is LIGHT outside!

My husband and I were not in agreement about dinner if the cruise leaves the port late. I said that dinner would still be served on time in the MDR even if the cruise ship left late, he said that it wouldn't happen until the ship left the port. Who's right??????

They served dinner on time . After dinner the first night I like to go to the shops but they were closed .

As for the ship leaving on time in the future . Hopefully they get thier act together . It was a new Itinary for the ship so hopefully it gets better with practice at each port . I was a little dissapointed with how the shi operated timewise but the ports and nice weather made up for some of the poor performance.

I think the more times they load, the better they will get. Legend and Paradise most always left on time. Yup we'll find out in 5 weeks!!!

Even if they leave on time, it will certainly be dark when you pass under the bridge. From my experience, it is dark on the sailings following the time change at the beginning of November. It's still a great site.

Has anyone that has been on the ship been able to confirm that there are no changes to the bowling alleys?

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Forums mobile app

We were in 8232 for the Nov 9 th sailing.Yes, the balcony was 6 feet by 30 feet--- three balconys space wise. The cabins under us also had the bowling alleys as well as the handicapped cabin beside us.

YES!!!! Thank you so much for this confirmation! We specifically booked 6232 for the repo next March - I've had a photo of that balcony taped to my office cabinet for months, dreaming of 14 nights of my own private balcony lounger.

This makes me sooooo happy. :)
