February 15, 2015 - Port Canaveral

Disney Magic 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Carnival Liberty 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Carnival Sunshine 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Grandeur Of The Seas 10:30 AM - 9:30 PM

Freedom Of The Seas 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Quantum Of The Seas 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Quantum will be back in March (16 & 31), and April (7 & 27)

She then is leaving on a trip I'd LOVE to do: crossing the Atlantic to the Azores, Spain, Rome & Naples in Italy, Athens in Greece, Egypt and a transit of the Suez. Then, the Red Sea (UAE, Jordan, Oman), and into the Indian Ocean with stops in India on the way to Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong....and finally it's new home port of Shanghai. Wow. What a trip that would be!

In case this helps anyone in the future, here is where Quantum docked today. It's immediately next to Jetty Park, and the new public boat ramps. It's also right across the parking lot from the former Ron Jon Resort (now Holiday Inn Beach Resort), the Payless Car Rental and Portside Galley Restaurant.

And here is some perspective, but please not that these images do not have the new Terminal 1 marked. That is on to the right side of The Cove next to Grill's restaurant, and to the left of Terminals 2 (Victory Casin) and Terminals 3 &4 (day port visit docks). I think Quantum took up both Terminal 3 and 4, actually. ;-)

Johncn....

THANK YOU for the photos and maps. I love this kind of stuff, and it will help us with our anticipation of our trip! We only have 328 days to go! That may sound like a lot but our countdown started at 726 days....LOL.

The way the world is today, are you sure you'd wanna go to all these places? Very surprised the cruise line wants to do this. They must have a Plan B and/or extremely good insurance.

Agreed .... it seems a bit irresponsible to sail through such an area ... i'd imagine a ship load of Americans would be a wonderful target for terrorists ... esp. after ISIS apparently now is in Egypt ..

Scary ... stay away.

I think that the Canaveral Port Authority designates Terminals 3 and 4 for "port call" ships - those that visit Port Canaveral as "port of call". This is what Quantum was doing here. It's not home ported here.

The use of the terminals varies somewhat in reality. Although there are exceptions, many other cruise ships, such as the German AIDA line vessels, are often seen at Terminals 3 and 4 just for the day.

This is a long winded way of saying that it's such a rare happening, that I really don't know. ;-) I'd say it's likely if the day of the week and/or time of the day are the same, as the schedule of use for the other terminals is fairly consistent.

Hope this helps,

John,

Thanks for all the info. Is there any word of them adding a new web cam in the future so can see them better

I know Carnival used one of those 2 East terminals for the Ecstasy when Terminal 6 was being built. Are the little dome buildings still there?

The one dome building I'm sure about is the one called Terminal 2 where the Victory Casino boat sails from.

Pretty nice little terminal .. we went on that Victory boat this past year.
