**LIVE Freedom of the Seas March 1**

Recommended Posts

so now I see the photos. We are booked deck 10. 1248/1252. Im wondering when we look out balcony will the captains room be blocking our forward view?

I also saw some rooms in your photo on the ends. Looks like the views would be amazing

A lady on my roll call has 1248 next week. We're going to her cabin on the cabin crawl, so i'll check it out! I'm going to try to do a live report if I can figure out how to do it.

Nothing more than Mother Nature. It is that time of the year. Some parts of the ocean are always a little disruptive. Just more so during certain times of the year. Regarding motion sickness, does the Transderm Scop (patch) not work for you?

Do you think the motion is more on Western than Eastern? Robyn did Western as well. I love a ship that is rocking and rolling!!!!! We're on next week and i'll be perfectly happy to be rocked to sleep! ;) :p :D

I don't know if the fixipod has anything to do with the stabilizers -- does anyone out there know?

The fixipod is not related to the stabilizers. The stabilizers are like "fins" that they extend from beneath either side of the bow to keep the ship from rolling too much. No one has posted any information that the stabilizers are an issue.

Thus far this year we have been on both the Quantum and the Oasis. We will be boarding the Freedom on Sunday. The 'Improved Internet' on both of the previous ships mentioned was OUTSTANDING. The speed was almost like being at home. Wondering if they upgraded or improved the internet on the Freedom, or is it the turtle speed that we have experienced in the past?

I read the thread debating lanyards. I'm not trendy but I'm not a dork/ nerd/ cruise pro either. I decided against it, I miss one already. I was watching the sail away party and DH went for a drink and he had both of our cards. A waiter came by with a tray of Miami Vices I could have went for one. He was away from me one other time, not to mention holding it in your hand while you try to do something else. Also it must have been in contact with my cell in my purse as it wouldn't open our door and had to get a new one. So I will definitely have one next time.

Check out the logo shop, they sell nice lanyards on board. Hate to see you miss out on those Miami Vices. Have a great cruise. LOVE Freedom !!! She's our favorite.:)

I'm here now and it is turtle speed. No upgrade has been done. But the one device package is nice. You can get unlimited and as long as you both log in at different times with the same login numerous people can use it.

Would be interested to know if the rocking and roughness is from it being just this time of year (ex. the sea is always a little rough in February/March) or if it's a result of the propulsion / fixipod not being fixed? Robyn was on the Freedom last week and said the same thing about rocking and indicated lots of people were getting sick.

We are scheduled to be on Freedom for 2 weeks in August and I'm extremely sensitive to motion sickness. I've sailed on her before with no problem. I have no desire to spend two weeks on her this summer being sick.

Shouldn't be rough and ginger pills work very well.

Full moon over Falmouth last night 3rd time trying to post it

Just lovely and you're doing a great job!!!!!! Are you using tapatalk on your phone or ipad? If you buy the unlimited package, can you use it with the ship's computers?

I saw she's left Cozumel and doing 20.4 knots! Did they fix the fixapod problem in Jamaica?

Thanks,

Cheryl

We are on the way to Cozumel, just left grand cayman. I've asked a couple people about the fixapods and all of a sudden their English isn't so good and they just nod their heads. I gave up asking. I just feel a little shimmy but the seas are a little rough.

Robyn used tapatalk so I downloaded it, never used it. I have the CC app on my iPad download the pics from my cameras to my iPad and I can attach to a post.

We will be on Freedom in a few weeks and am enjoying reading your experiences. My apologies if I missed it, but can you confirm if Vintages on Freedom now has the tapas menu available? Thank you.

That's what I thought. The ship was pretty stable but we did get some (a very small amount) of vibration as they are running both Azipods at full speed to make their ports. The vibration was in the late afternoon.

Tropical lemonade was the drink of the day, too sweet/ sour for us. Gaile we have not been to any of the bars on the promenade, if we get there I will try to remember to ask.

Just returned from the show, pretty good again. They seem to be the same type of shows with slightly different themes. I can see why frequent cruisers don't go to shows.

Last night I couldn't get online, the show was Greg London. He was a musical impersonator. Pretty good also. I don't know what we did, but we went back around a while after his show and he was still talking to people at the bar between the theater and the casino. Seemed like a nice, genuine guy. He even said he welcomed someone recording his show, felt it was a complement and flash photography didn't bother him, either.

The first couple of days we were going strong and up until 1 or 2am. With all the sun and activities on the islands we barely make it through the show. We'll be turning in shortly, it will be a long day tomorrow.

As if we didn't miss our dog enough, it was the menu tonight!

Awww, Jasmine is a cutie!!!!!

I do believe someone said on one of the February reports that they were serving tapas in Vintages! I'm looking forward to that! I wonder if we can use our diamond drink "coupons" in Vintages?
