iheartbda Posted March 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Anything, at this point, would be just a guess. Sail, New Providence. Are you still snowed in? Edited March 3, 2015 by iheartbda

sail7seas Posted March 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Anything, at this point, would be just a guess. Sail, New Providence. Are you still snowed in? Thanks for asking..... Yes, still lots of snow on the ground. We've had some melting but more snow coming tonight. I can't wait to see tulips and daffodils in my garden. :)
cruiserking Posted March 4, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Where/what is Baha Mar? EM Baha Mar is a brand new $3.5 billion mega resort featuring the Baha Mar Hotel and Casino, the largest in the Caribbean. There is also a Rosewood Hotel, Grand Hyatt and an SLS Residential Suites. Plenty to do on the property with a selection of 40 restaurants and bars. Rocker Lenny Kravitz designed the Bond Night Club, no doubt a tribute to the quartet of 007 films shot in Nassau and the home of Bond author Ian Fleming. I am really looking forward to visiting this incredible looking new resort when when we dock in Nassau aboard Anthem next February. cruiseapril Posted March 4, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Thanks for posting the photo. When we go to Cable Beach, we just take a van cab from the pier rather than do an excursion.
Sandy Sails Posted March 4, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Yes, why spend more on a ship's excursion when this is something you could do on your own so easily. Looks like a nice alternative to Atlantis. BTW - our daffodils and tulips are already blooming (early) because we've had the warmest winter in history here in the Northwest. So sorry that the Northeast has been bombarded with snow for the 2nd winter in a row. Just so unfair!

We'll remember your empathy next time you have endless raw and rain. :D :D That resort looks fantastic. What a beautiful addition. Everyone who gets to visit soon....... enjoy. slidergirl Posted March 14, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2015 I decided to send an email to the Baha Mar people, asking about access for cruise people, like the day passes at Atlantis. Got this back from their PR person: "Thank you for your interest in Baha Mar. At this time Baha Mar does not offer day passes to our pool and beach experiences. However non-hotel guests are welcome to enjoy our exciting Baha Mar Casino with windows to the ocean, as well as our 40 restaurants, bars and lounges that bring cuisine from around the world to Baha Mar." So, they will take your money via the Casino and food/beverage venues, but don't try to beach it...

slidergirl Posted March 14, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 14, 2015 I do understand their reluctance to offer the day passes. They are setting this place up for high-end vacations with exclusivity. To allow a few thousand day cruisers to use the area would detract from the "exclusive" part. Plus, in my experience at a few land vacations in the Caribbean, there are some people from cruise ships who will try to use facilities for free at the expense of hotel guests who have paid a hefty rate to have access to a lounger at an uncrowded pool or stretch of beach. cruiseapril Posted March 15, 2015 #16 Share Posted March 15, 2015 The Melia is right near there- hopefully they will still offer day passes.
