Well Marge, you sound so sweet....that I can't resist.

First, I do believe that if such a thing had been found in the hallways, personnel would have scoured the security video and someone would have been severely dealt with.

Second, I believe that Cunard would have given you your own ship, just to keep you from passing that information along. :D

Not sure if this is allowed, off subject don't y know, but are there security cameras on the hallways?

Must say I've never noticed any but then I haven't really looked.

It was my understanding that most public areas have them. I would think that the hallways would be vital in case of any breach of the cabins.

I know for certain that there are cameras in Churchills. I've studied every inch of that room and I haven't found one yet. :)

Why do you assume that security didn't do as you suggest, just with discretion?

Because of the nature of the complaint......there would have been much more interaction with the "finder". There is no way the staff would have let the word spread around the ship that someone found "poo" in the hallway. :)

I'm just going to say that if I run across an "anomalies" while aboard I'll be sure to take a photo so I can share here without fear of judgement! ;)

No judgement. I almost always take people at their word. If Marge had said that she saw a raccoon, I wouldn't have questioned it......but "poo", not so much. :)

Yes, there are cameras in the hallways. I was talking to a former room steward one day and he pointed up at the camera and asked if I had noticed them. I also noticed one above the main doorway to the dining room near C stairwell.

I liked the review. The poo commentary by all has been amusing and gave me a chuckle.

Having worked in health care for decades, I can confirm that accidents have happened and that finding a poo on the floor in a hallway is quite possible. I really doubt someone did it on purpose.

I don't know why I keep posting on this......:)

A ships hallway is a lot different than a healthcare facility. People are dressed up in the evenings. It simply can't happen accidentally. It just can't. :D

QM2 2012, there was a "slight" accident in one of the lifts, we saw the aftermath as the cleanup gear arrived..... I think one of our passengers was caught short when the lift stopped suddenly. So..it does happen. though....ewwwww

Okay, I absolutely promise that this will be my last post. :)

How does one have an accident, leaving it in the hallway, while fully dressed? I can think of all kinds of horrible scenarios, but they wouldn't end like this.

That makes sense. It's too bad that the service animal's owner didn't report the 'incident' for clean-up. I'm sure security cameras were probably reviewed to see what might have happened.

I guess the moral of the story is to watch where you're going! What's worse than seeing it on the floor, is seeing it being tracked into your stateroom

Hello again Brittetom.

I'm not sure as to why you are finding this event so unbelievable? I am the one who found it and even I am not as shocked as you are?

There may have been some form of 'investigation' into the matter for all I know. I wasn't further consulted but why should I have been? It's not my problem, nor did I even complain, I simply alerted them to what was found and that was the end of my role in the matter.

I am some what amused by your idea that 'how can somebody do such a thing whilst wearing clothing?' Don't make us all use our imagination. There is plenty of ways that it could have happened. I still believe it was probably just an accident. May have been a child, an un well senior or even someone with a disability.

I still had a fabulous holiday and that one event did not ruin anything for me.

Please move on from this one aspect of my review, I have listed many positives as well as you can see.

Bless

Marge

This has been quite an amusing thread! Hope there were some service animals onboard and that is the answer to this mystery. That, I think, we all could live with:)

I have actually seen this happen twice before on ships. Last summer, on QM2, when a tiny dog peed on the promenade deck. Then in the fall, on RCI, a tiny dog pooped outside the casino. Both times the owners just kept on walking!

Now, I cannot tell you about similar experiences during my 34 years in education. I would not want to be told I am full of ________ as these incidents are hard for anyone outside of the profession to believe. (This is a fill in the blank!):):)

Regards. Katherine

My fill the blank answer: you might want to hear it, but my guess is that you are filled with compassion.
