I always take a picture of the bench with the ship name on it, and one of the life preserver ring with the name on it. It is usually what I use in my photo albums to start and end my picture book.

You may be sad that your cruise has ended, but I am sad your review is over! One of the most fun reviews I have read in a long time.

 

You need to put this all together and get one of those books printed (like Mixbook or something similar) so you can enjoy it over and over. I did that one of my family vacations and I live my creation!

I really enjoyed your review and it looks like you and your family had a great time. This is an itinerary that we will be doing one of these days since it would be mostly new ports for us, so I enjoy reading reviews since I'm a "visual" person and the way you included tons of pictures really had me drawn in and looking forward to the next update. Even though it's the end of the cruise, I just love sailing back into Miami and seeing all the colorful buildings. Your pictures of Miami predawn came out great and I just love the sunrise. Thank you for taking the time to do a review of your trip and also thank you to your DH, E, for his service.

You had me laughing so much at your comment about getting nervous when you get to customs! I do the same thing, and also have no reason. I'm always afraid they will think I am not telling the truth when I have less than $100 worth to declare! I just don't buy anything now, and I'm worried they will say "yeah right!" Lol.

 

Your family is just the cutest. You all remind me of when I was young with teens. Continue to enjoy life. I will look forward to your next cruise.

Ya I get nervous at the silliest things, the other day I was in a meeting with new people and we went around the table introducing ourselves.. the whole time Im thinking calm down its just your name, you know your name. As it got closer to me I started sweating LOL

Love your review! We will be on the Breeze in February (its a girls trip). Thank your husband for his service. My dad and son are both Marines.

Oh how fun for a girls trip. Was hoping to talk my friends into it but there not sea worthy yet... bunch of scardy cats. I will be sure to share the love to my hubby and how awesome to have a dad and son as Marines... your a strong momma!

I appriciate the kind words. Aww, I dont know GAPearl is much more put together than me. I have to agree I loved the Breeze. It just seem much more updated than the older ships motif.

Dont be sad its not over yet. lol. Yes I make photo books also. I used to scrapbook, then I stopped but just kept buying all the supplies LOL. So nothing ever got put together. Photobooks are a lifesaver!

Thanks it was a great vacation, I think going back into port is the most serene of days, its quiet, a lil somber, and always so pretty. Appreciate your kind words, and I will send your thanks to E!

Ohh have fun, we had looked at that one last yr but instead went on an all inclusive with friends... fun but not as great as a cruise!

LOL Ive done that with other stuff, I started a DIsney World trip report once for a 10day trip... after day 2 I stopped LMAO.

Wanted to share how funny E can be. After we flew home, We all had the next day off to relax. But it seemed 3 out of 4 of us got the cruise crud. I think it was just from all the going back and forth thru ac, airplanes etc. The boys always get sick after a vacation, too much fun it seems. So the nex day when we all went back to work and school, I text E that I was stick... here's our conversation.

 

Anyhow, These are just a few things we would have liked to know and hope we can help anyone else along the way.. a pay it forward if you will LOL.

 

Tips & Tricks:

• If you need to check your account use either the APP, the TV or the Kiosk 1 is located right by guest service (dont waste time in line if you dont need to)
  

• You dont have to get just a breakfast burrito from Blue Iguana, they also serve Huevos Rancheros, and Arepas (its like a thicker tortilla). These arent listed just the burrito (or at least I didnt see them, and forgot all about them!)
  

• If you want a lounge chair and dont mind not being around the lido madness, or just want quietness, head for the Promenade (deck 5) both Port and Starboard tons of chair options there.
  

• Wear flip flops or water shoes to the slides. If you have a waterproof camera you can take it for the ride too.
  

• On the Rope Course you cant take a camera UNLESS its strapped to your body like to your forehead or chest. If you have anything in your pockets they have lockers you can place it in.
  

• Search "online" for your cruise group I'm one of those that joins the thread on there, but really this format is so hard to follow, not saying.. just saying!
  

• P's tip... pack pants that fit and remember your tie
  

• J's tip.. dont run on the platform in Curacao (unless you want a bruise)
  

• E's tip... listen to your wife when she tells you where to show up after everything she has planned and tell her she's awesome often for doing it all. (I heart him!)
  

 

Pros/Likes:

• 40mins Chair Hog Police in force on the Lido Deck. (LOVE IT, just be nice if they move your stuff... you asked for it by not following the rules!)
  

• More options for food then just the regular lido deck. Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana, Sushi, Hot Dogs, Pasta.
  

• Lots of different Photo backdrops, hardly ever a line.
  

• So many different bars, never a line!
  

• Lots of storage in your stateroom.
  

• Great Entertainment Staff! Always had music or fun going on at every corner.
  

 

Cons/Dislikes:

• Late Assigned dinning - Seems like last seating is when a majority of the teen and preteen activities start.
  

• Smoking- UGG sorry if your one of THOSE people.. but even with it just limited to the Casino for inside smoking just walking thru it to get to the Red Frog Pub, Piano Bar, Comedy Club is killer on my sinus's. (this is probably part of how we got the cruise crud too)
  

• The Hub App having a minimum age, as a parent I should be able to override that. (Im all for having it so that kids cant go behind a parents back and for Carnival to protect themselves. But as a parent it should be my decision. It should be overridden by going to guest services and showing your S & S card)
  

• Line at Guys Burger is ridiculous
  

• Small Comedy Club Venue.
