Dawn ran aground while leaving Bermuda?

I'm on board the dawn. We just got towed back to the dockyard. There is another ship coming in but I'm not sure which one it is.

Actually I had a good view on the webcam, she was under power with a small tug alongside. Came in at 7 knots, so it looks like an inspection is in order for two things.

- any hull or propulsion damage?

- why did Propulsion lose control?

I see her on the web cam.

I don't know how many ships can dock at King's Wharf.

But I have a feeling someone will be tendering.

As per the Port Bermuda FB page posted by the dockmaster

Good morning everyone! Norwegian Dawn is safely at anchor and will weigh anchor in about one hour and proceed to Heritage Wharf. Celebrity summit will then transit the North Channel and berth at Kings wharf. Norwegian Breakaway will then proceed to Grassy Bay and tender her passengers to the charter boat dock. At approximately 1700 hours today Norwegian Dawn will proceed to Boston and Norwegian Breakaway will then come alongside to Heritage Wharf.

That's good to know. I hope we are able to sail home tonight!

Seems funny seeing them double parked in Dockyard.

Glad you guys are safe.

I think she should be back for Friday ( maybe a bit later sail?).

They really only need 1 1/2 days to get back. Smooth seas would be a plus.

Happy sailing and have a great honeymoon.

Oh yeah. I forgot that the Dawn does the opposite of the Breakaway. The Breakaway goes slow to Bermuda and fast on the return trip. So the Dawn was suppose to take 2 1/2 days to return to Boston so they'll just return in 1 1/2. I stand corrected. No problem for Friday in Boston if ship is safe to sail today. Have fun.
