Check your VIFP offers - secret casino rate

Recommended Posts

We took advantage of our offer at the end of last week - booked a balcony for $310 with $100 on-board credit. Could have had an interior on deck 7 way forward for $50.

I have been receiving numerous offers for the past three months and never acted on any of them. But something told me to check on-line last week and these great offers popped up.

Been checking every day since to see if these offers are still there and when I looked this morning, they were gone. So happy I booked before they disappeared.

I'm disappointed.. i was watching for these offers hoping for one for the cruise in September... i have been getting lots of offers but now, I am booked, and haven't received another offer. I was getting lots of these pack and play offers, was hoping for one on the 9/20 Breeze.. was that one on your offers?? I am hoping offers keep coming even though i am booked ... i am booked under the casino rate...

I get lots of casino offers when we don't have cruises booked.

But when we have cruises booked we get nothing.

It's might be just us. But we have noticed this trend for many years.

My offer was for $50 a person on lots of cruise dates. Last time I sailed on Carnival I gambled so long that they gave me free strawberries and drinks. I know other people who have gotten more. My DS and I were going to book an 8 day, but I was afraid of how much I just might donate to the casino. So instead we are going on a 5 day for $50 a person plus tax and port fees. Plus later in the summer my dm and i are going on a 5 day for the same price.

I appreciate you sharing this information with us! I didn't realize about the section on the website. I just usually go with what is sent to me via email.

Of course, I'll be on Valor in 2 weeks, so nothing is coming up now. :-)

Yes, the Aug. 9th trip is a pack and play offer. It was $500 cheaper than the casino offer that I saw on-line.

Check your VIFP offers!!! I found a Casino offer that they never notified me about. Saved me $20 on a Balcony, upgraded Interior to OV for $10 and getting $50 casino cash on each room.

This seems to be a really good sale. We booked at Interline rate which is usually better than Casino, but lucked out this time... 15 minutes w/ my PVP ended up saving me $110

Welcome to Carnival, hope you enjoy.

Casino rate is offered to some who have played (a good bit) in the casino on previous cruises.

I was already booked and saw that I had a casino offer and so Carnival applied that rate to my booking. Yay! However, on the rate's terms and conditions it states that in order to reccive the casino credits you have to take the letter to the casino cage for redemption. I did not receive the offer via mail. Do the credits appear once on board?

Thanks,

Taters

Have the same scenario. I emailed my PVP after I got the confirmation of the rate change to ask about the casino cash, but no reply yet.

Can anyone explain how that works?

Thanks!

Hi there, if you have the money waiting for you at the cage, it should be in the system. If you want more assurance, you can call player development and explain this to them. I am sure they get many calls like this on a daily basis.

Enjoy your cruise!

We've done the same thing before without a problem, the casino manager will have your name on the list.

I am taking my 30th cruise with Carnival, the end of August. Have a B2B booked for end of Sept, #31 and 32.

I spend time in the casino, usually every day on my cruises.

I have never ever got any kind of casino offer. Right now my offer is free 2 grade upgrade. That just means a higher deck, and I prefer the lower 2 decks, so keep it Carnival.

I booked a casino rate for a cruise that we are going on in November. Contrary to what people have been saying I don't play much at the casino maybe 3 times during a 7 day cruise and half the time I forget to give them my card. I have been looking at my offers again and the casino rate has appeared again. The pricing difference between casino and past guest amounts to about 200.00 but there appears to be no OBC on my offers. I was looking at the offer in my VIFP and when I click on see my offers the page just turns blue and can't be navigated. But all in all I am happy with at least what I have.
