How to gamble on ship?

Please refresh my memory. How do you gamble on the ship? Do you just use your Sail and Sign card and the amount you gamble is charged to your room? If I remember correctly, the amount you gamble shows on your list of room charges labeled casino. Trying to figure out if my son should bring cash with him or if I will just have him pay me back when he gets home and if I need to bring separate cash for the casino for myself. TIA

You may use cash or charge to your room via sail and sign card. If your account is secured by a credit card you are set. If your account is secured by cash, as your charges get near the amount of cash deposit, you will be paged to see guest services to put more cash on your account.

Would suggest you stop by the casino after boarding as there will be staff circulating to help set up accounts and explain how it all works.

Good luck!

I'd recommend that you have him bring cash...or set up a separate account for him. I love my son, but I'd never let him gamble on my account.

Bring Cash. If you use your S & S card you are charged a 3% fee.

The 3% fee only applies to chips bought at the table games.

To the OP, as mentioned by others, it's really up to you what you want to do here - put it on your account or bring cash.

My bad. I primarily play table games so that is the first thing that came to mind.

Cash! Like everyone else has said, it's too easy to spend money you can't see. If your feeding $20s into a slot it makes it more real and you won't over do it.

Oh!! So you can actually put cash in the machine? Does the machine pay you out with a slip like a regular casino and then you go to the cage to cash in with it? For some reason I thought everything had to go through your card. If it works like a regular casino, I rather just use cash.

No, they don't pay out cash or give a receipt. Winnings go to your players bank and you can cash out at the cage.

With my luck I save time I just go up and give the cashier in the casino 250 dollars cash on the first night turn around then leave and go and do other things.

I was thinking the same thing! I'll try giving mine to the casino bar tender though :D

Cash is best if you want to control what you spend in the casino. I set aside "gambling" money and when it's gone, no more casino for me!

I agree. I determine before the cruise how much I will spend in the casino. That money goes in the "gambling" envelope. I can choose to spend it all on the first night or make it last through the week. But when it is gone---no more casino for me!!

You put money either on the table or in the machine. It says "Thank you sir. May i have another?" You eventually feed it so much it will burp out money. However it will only do this AFTER you have walked away and someone else tries to feed it just a weee bit more. You bow your head and walk away as the other person jumps up and down. The End.
