Can You still take a case of water on cruise

I have brought a case of water on the Star, just put a luggage tag on it. They did open the pack to check them out. Only place I ever heard it was a problem was in New Orleans port. That said, I now see little benefit as ship's water is fine. Perhaps if you have a specific brand as a mixer. I have brought carbonated water also.

NCL has no issue with you bringing your own water on board. Bottled water on the ship is very expensive and is NOT included in the ultimate beverage package. It is free if you have a casino drink card.

Any limitation is driven by port personnel. We normally throw a case into a smaller roller and send it with our bags on board (no sense lugging it around during embarkation). Never had any problems.

is there a place onboard to fill reusable water bottles?

You can get filtered water in the buffet. The water in the cabin is certainly drinkable, but does have a chlorine taste.

You have to use one of their glasses at the dispenser, then pour from that glass into the water bottle. You cannot put your reusable water bottle under the dispenser directly (well, you CAN, but it's against the rules for obvious sanitation reasons). Other than that little annoyance, there are several drink stations in the buffet you can use.

Water is water, but having a bottle handy around the pool, or waiting in line to get it is a pain, so we usually get a case, wrap it in shrink wrap, put a luggage tag on top, and give the luggage guy a nice tip. We also do this with a case of diet Coke, since NCL uses that other brand. Had a slight problem in Tampa last year, and the baggage guys said NCL won't allow them to take water and sodas on board. I asked to speak to the dockside NCL officer to confirm NCL doesn't allow the practice, and within five minutes or so, our beverages were on the cart on their way to our stateroom;)
