So I'm new to actually getting perks in the casino! :D But say I book a free cruise using a PMB code and I do well and get tons of points on that cruise..is there a possibility I could get another free PMB coded cruise or would I upgrade to premier offers?? Trying to figure out how this works..:D

I received my first offer (PMB) on the Glory in September. Two weeks later, my SO received an OH5 offer in the mail ($150 per cabin with $100 OBC). We booked the Paradise for NYE with my offer and the Conquest later this month with his.

We spent a lot of time in the casino on the Paradise, but neither of us received another offer. I have read repeatedly that you will not get a new offer if you already have a cruise booked. I am waiting to see what happens once we return from the Conquest and no longer have a booked cruise. Really hoping for an offer before April 15 so we can use our AmEx and receive a $75 statement credit.

I already have my birthday cruise booked because I'd gotten half off for the family ...I hope that doesn't mess up my offers! Dangit! I was so excited to get half off but wasn't thinking it could impact my casino offers..oh well I guess in 6 days I'll see what happens! :D

Perhaps in my 1st ten years of cruising I was oblivious to casino fares. Sometimes I was happy with just getting goodies delivered to my cabin.

The last two years or so, I have had several casino offers, and it didn't matter if I had an upcoming cruise booked on a different casino fare or not. I've gotten that letter for a bounce back cruise on the last day of a casino fare cruise, as well as other casino offers in my VIFP box.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to how I have gotten picked or ignored over my cruising history. I'm just a quarter slot player, not a whale or heavy hitter.

I know the Drinks On Us card is given after you reach 1,500 points; but I thought I read somewhere that if you reached 5,000 points on your previous cruise, all you had to do was ask for the DOU card at the beginning of your next cruise without having to reach 1,500 points again. Can anyone confirm this or have any advice?

I was told the same. I cruise on Sunshine in 10 days and will ask for mine and let you know,

I was told that it is a very rare case that you get a BB Offer if you have a future cruise already booked BUT ... once off the ship, about 3 business days later (giving them time to download any information into their computers) email casino@carnival.com with your VIFP#, name, date of birth, last ship sailed and cabin #. They will, if you qualify, usually offer you another casino promotion via email.

This is very true. Every cruise I email the carnival casino and ask what my perks are for my upcoming cruise. See what they say when they return the email most times it is not much. Then make sure you state that you reached enough points (over 1500) and should qualify for a dou card. Every time they have come back and said that yes I do qualify and to pick up in the casino with the casino host. I always take the email with me just in case . The last I think 5 or 6 cruises I have drank free !! They will not give up that information unless you specifically ask if you qualified for it . Hope this helps

My experience as a Casino player. I get both types of offers, including the next two cruises. The up coming Carnival cruise I had to pay for upgrade to a balcony, plus port fees and taxes. On the RCI cruise it is a comped balcony, only had to pay port fees and taxes. Both trips come with a drinks our on us card for both of us in the cabin. I'm not a whale, just that I elect to spend my entertainment money in a casino ;-)

We (wife and I) were both over 5000 points on the last cruise, took the offer for a free cruise, upgraded to a balcony for a bit more. We are expecting to have the DOU cards when we go to the casino... not planning on buying the Cheers plan because of it. Will buy a bottle for the room though!

Thanks Joker 440..I looked at my card and it says I will have a DOU card after earning 5000 points..so I guess I won't have one this time! Dangit! Thanks for your help though!!! :D

I would email the carnival casino group and ask them if you qualified? The worse they will say is no , but if they say yes it's a bonus.

I cruise Carnival 2 or 3 times a year. I don't play much in the casino but it sounds like I'm really missing out/messing up. There's a lot of info given o here but I don't understand all the abbreviations. I think I need to start hanging out and playing slots.

We go frequently to land based casinos. Get lots of comps, never pay for a meal, or our room. (Though I realize we actually did pay for it:)) My dad and step-mom, he's pushing 90, cruise about 3 times a year, get phone calls from Carnival, about 3 days after each cruise. They only have to pay the taxes, rooms and drinks, comped. They make me nuts, always complaining about that they hate every cruise they have been on. I rarely gamble on a cruise. It annoys me that the drinks aren't comped, like in a land based, Plus I am on there for a cruise! I have told them that they use the cruise like a casino hotel. That's why they don't like it, as port days, etc... when the casino is not open, they don't know what to do to pass the time. They never see ports, shows, MDR, only order from room service. I think it is sad. 2002, we made the mistake of taking them with us on a cruise.:eek:Never again. Sorry, guess I really got off subject.:o

I totally agree with this. I never get casino offers, except for Premier casino offers, if I already have another cruise booked. My Premier offers are not as good as the bounce-back offers I get under my cabin door on the last night of my cruise. As soon as one Premier offer expires, I always get another Premier offer within a week or two. And this year my Premier offer wasn't a deal at all. The cheapest cruise offered under this year's Premier offer was over $400 per person.

I can totally relate (seriously).. When cruising with my sister, brother in law and nephews (their sons) if we want to see them we have to visit the casino. Now I gamble too but they wait at the door like the commercial OPEN OPEN OPEN ... day in and day out although they do get off the ship with us on port days !!! If you ask my them how the shows on the ship were they answer "There's shows on the ship?" cause they've never been :( And yes, all 4 of them get/have gotten and use casino incentives to book their next cruise ... Oh, and yes, my brother in law and one of the nephews have also missed dinner because they won't leave the "hot" machine or "hot" table ...
