kiwi_sparkles Posted June 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Hi all We have not sailed with Princess before and are not sure whether we can take beach towels off the ship? We will be doing a private catamaran tour - not booked through Princess. Thanks!!
floridalover5623 Posted June 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2016 No problem. Just ask the steward for extras or get them at the pool the day before.

OCruisers Posted June 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2016 Normally, your cabin steward will leave beach towels in your cabin for your use and to take off the ship with you at port stops. Your used beach towels will be replaced with clean ones. :)

hpeabody Posted June 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2016 No big deal, just bring them back to the ship. My experience recently is that not all ships are putting pool towels in the closet these days. Passengers need to get them by the pool now is what I find. YMMV, this is my experience.
SpencerCruiser Posted June 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2016 In January on the Royal there were towels available as we left the ship at the ports.

OCruisers Posted June 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2016 The cabin steward put beach towels in our cabin in Jan/Feb of this year. :)

Don't want to see a towel deposit like Royal Caribbean. Also, there's usually a dirty towel bin when you get back aboard.
Times Prince Posted June 7, 2016 #17 Share Posted June 7, 2016 We also had towels placed in our closet daily on Caribbean in Feb.On our end of March Caribbean Princess cruise the steward told us the new policy was for passengers to get their beach towels from the racks by the pools. We were able to return the towels at several locations, including our room.

cruiseonthebrain Posted June 7, 2016 #19 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Yes you can. Extrao I was wondering the same thing. In light of all of the other answers this was basically unhelpful.

floridalover5623 Posted June 7, 2016 #21 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Not in our cabin on the CB last month. This sounds like a new procedure. Things must be changing. I wonder if all the ships are doing likewise?
SwissDave Posted June 7, 2016 #22 Share Posted June 7, 2016 Not in our cabin on the CB last month. Or on CB in May last year, or Island Princess last September, or Emerald a few weeks ago.
floridalover5623 Posted June 8, 2016 #23 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Or on CB in May last year, or Island Princess last September, or Emerald a few weeks ago. They must have just changed things on the Emerald. I hope they have them at all hours of the day & night since the last thing I want to do before leaving the ship early in the morning for the beach is go to the pool area & find out there are none around. Lucky TGO Posted June 8, 2016 #24 Share Posted June 8, 2016 I know someone will correct me if I am wrong. I remember there being beach towels available as you got off the ship. Not all the time. But I remember them at times. Am I right or wrong??? Tony
Marisawrite Posted June 8, 2016 #25 Share Posted June 8, 2016 We had beach towels in the closet on the Regal Princess last month. Not much use on a Baltic cruise, but still they were there...
