Water onboard

Recommended Posts

MDR they constantly refill your water. Sometimes it seems like that is the assistant waiter's main job, server bread and fill the water glasses.

For your cabin the tap water isn't that cold, but you have lots of choices. You can purchase bottled water (or bring your own, but technically it isn't allowed). Some cruisers bring a small brita or other water filter with a jug and keep it in the fridge. Or just ask your stateroom attendant to bring ice, grab a couple of glasses from the windjammer and there you go.

If you are on a ship that has a promenade, you can also grab glasses of ice water from the cafe there as well.

The MDR gives everybody a glass of ice water. When in your room you can always go to the closest bar, Windjammer, or Solarium and get a glass of ice water, or call room service for glasses of water. Room service might be slow, but is free except for a couple hours overnight. Glasses of water are always free in MDR, Windjammer, and from bars.

the only way to get 'cold' water in your cabin is to add ice to the glass first. these days you pretty much need to request that it is not automatic any more.

the in cabin coolers will keep beverages slightly below room temp but not cold.

Tap water is available in all dining and drinking venues.
