New menu on Oasis of the Seas

Recommended Posts

I just posted 6 of the 7 menus above that we had last week. As you can see, many nights there wasn't a single entree that was marked gluten free on the menu. I was very disappointed to see that as I have Celiac Disease and have to be 100% gluten free.

There were usually several options for getting meals altered to be gluten free. You order the night before still and they will alter the sauces and sides to be gluten free. The sauces tend to be thin as they apparently don't realize they could use corn starch as a thickening agent.

They also always have gluten free bread available each night. They actually had two varieties per night.

They also always have gluten free pasta they can make with red sauce.

It almost seems like they left the symbol off accidentally. Many of the menu items seem like the should be available gluten free,

So.....if we have the 5 night specialty dining plan, would you say our best bets to go to the MDR would be the two formal nights? Seems those are the "nicest" menus. Thoughts?

You can stop by the MDR and ask to see the menus for the week and make your decision based on that.

Personally we do the dining package and the couple nights that we don't have a soecialty restaurant booked we end up at the WJ for dinner. We usually plan those for busy port days when we know we will have had a lot of sun and won't be that hungry.

Day 3 mdr has a very nice rack of lamb. I'd go that night vs night 2

The old, "named" MDR menus (based on a spice or key ingredient) had over a dozen unique menus. With the new menus on Oasis...do they just run the same seven every single week? Or are there additional menus they alternate with for Eastern/Western Caribbean, that have yet to be posted?

Same 7, they may swap order if formal night is not day 2 & 6

On Oasis yes they started this '"test" menu in July 2016 and it is still the same now. They might have changed a few items not sure about that.

They keep all 7 in a bin outside American Icon. I may grab a set sometime this morning and take some new pictures.

You're probably not going to be on board the OA long enough to have time to do that:halo:
