swirlfamily405 Posted September 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2016 I am trying to find a retailer that sells Carnival Gift cards in Oklahoma. We don't have Publix or any of those other grocery store chains that I have seen listed as options. My daughter (19) is a server, and wanting to take her tip money and save it for her cruise, and wants to use her cash to buy carnival gift cards. Have any of you Oklahomans found them anywhere? luv2trvlnow Posted September 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2016 Do you have a Safeway near you? There isn't a Safeway in Oklahoma. They pulled out of here many years ago. The closest ones are in Texas.
ManyMore Posted September 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2016 They have them at Lowes all the time. I buy one every time I go into lowes for something.

luv2trvlnow Posted September 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2016 Kroger, Giant Eagle, Hyvee, Price Chopper, Safeway, Meijer, Albertsons, Lowes, Winn Dixie and Office Max Lots of choices. But I know you are going to find this hard to believe but here in the Tulsa area we only have one of those, Lowes. I'll have to check and see if they sell them. cruzelover55 Posted September 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2016 If you are old enough to be an AARP member or know someone that is, you can buy them there. We paid $900. for $1000. Not available on a daily basis but do come up often.

Why pay full price when you can get them online from AARP? You can get a $100 gift card for $90. Those tips would go a lot further. That 10% makes a difference. Especially if you use them to pay for your whole cruise and fund your sign and sail account. Just one of the many tips I got from cruise critic. Just one of the many tips I got from cruise critic. Exactly what I said in my earlier post. And, Why would anyone buy them without a discount? We bought MANY and paid off our cruise, prepaid tips,etc... And I had $1000. left when we boarded. We loaded to our sail and sign card, and they assured us they would not tap into our credit card until the gift cards were spent. I was a little nervous, as we had prepaid Cheers!, tips, FTTF, etc... and was using advise from posters on cruise critic that we could load them into the slot machines (from the sail and sign account) and do a spin and cash out. It really did work! :D
redhot77 Posted September 26, 2016 #16 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Really, I joined AARP and I don't see any of the carnival gift cards. I have looked everywhere on their site and in their extended site. They are not available as far as I see. I will check at Lowe's as well since I am in OKC. Hopefully, there are some before our cruise in December. I love the idea of having cash in cards before we leave.
CountryCruiser Posted September 26, 2016 #17 Share Posted September 26, 2016 There are not any Carnival cards available on AARP right now, but keep looking. They come an go. It is real easy. Pay like $91 for a $100 card mailed to you.

Did you see the Gift Cards online at all, because they offer several different cards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
daff67 Posted September 26, 2016 #19 Share Posted September 26, 2016 Someone will usually post it on cc when they are available. I check aarp several times a day for them. I've gotten two within the last month and a half. I refuse to pay full price. It's such an awesome deal! The Carnival cards are on the travel section. I just checked and today they are offering Royal Caribbean cards. I found them available when I was purchasing them about every 2 days. If you are new to the site, you may not know that you need to do some of their quizzes, to accumulate points. As it takes points and cash to purchase. Very easy. It is best to buy a $500. gift card as they only charge postage, but it is delivered FedEx. The $100. come in the mail and take about a week. I feel the $1000. I ended up having when we boarded was like a free almost $100. Since we loaded them up to our sail and sign and cashed them out through the casino. We had prepaid everything else, so, we left the ship WITH money and owed them nothing. Sweet!:)

Can you say how much you want to put into the machine and then after a spin, cash out the remaining amount? Have never used anything but cash in the casino and darn little of that. Want to use gift cards for cheers but prepurchase since cabinmates do not want to bother with gift cards. I understand I cannot use gift cards to prepurchase and for them to purchase on board would increase their price.

I wish I had taken a picture of the 3 button options to push as I didn't really memorize what each one said exactly. One says something like "load funds from sail and sign" when you push that it has you set up a pin and you can load whatever amount you want into the machine. I loaded $100. the 1st time and then played a little as I hit a couple of bonuses, then loaded the money to my players club account, the 3rd option is to load back to your sail and sign and you don't want to do that. Then take your card to the cashier and they will give you your cash. Since we had already paid for Cheers! I cashed the rest of mine out over the next 3 days. I actually had to call for a host to show me how to load it up the 1st time as I found it a little confusing. I also was a little nervous as I know Carnival doesn't like us using them basically for an ATM, but, no worries, nothing was said, even when I loaded up $300. spun once and then cashed out. I'm sure someone else will chime in and explain it better than I did. Good Luck!:)
