When does Carnival Decorate for Christmas?

We are going on a cruise the 1st week of December and wondered if Christmas decor will be up, and if the menu is any different. We have never been on a cruise this close to Christmas.

Wow, I will really miss it by weeks on Splendor.

I love love love sailing in December. The decorations are just beautiful. We'll be on the Dream the first week of December and, although they decorate the day we board, I wonder if it will be too early for the Christmas carols and snow in the atrium each evening. That really gets you in the spirit of the season. We've never been on the ship on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day so the menus could be different those days. We noticed no difference, though, in the weeks leading up.

The ships are decorated very nicely within several days apart.. Brings to the Holiday cheer. Have Fun !

The Dream this December will be our first Christmas cruise. I'm looking forward to see how beautifully it's decorated.

Interesting range of decorating dates...November 12 through December 17. Not sure I'd be ready for Christmas decorations November 12 but I'd be sad if I was on a ship that wasn't decorated before December 17.

Tis the season for traditions, loved ones and fun-filled celebrations. Gather your friends and family for our traditional holiday kick off, the lighting of the Christmas tree in the atrium lobby.

 

This event takes place on the first evening of the cruise on the following ships: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Legend, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Magic, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Victory and Carnival Vista. Hosted by the Cruise Director, a magical moment where the grand Christmas tree will be lit with spectacular lights and synchronized with wonderful, heartwarming holiday music.

 

What are you wishing for? A football? A pony? More fun vacations? Now's the time to let Santa know! Write out a special message for Santa and drop it in the North Pole mailbox located in the atrium lobby (on all ships) .. and some letters will be read on our live Morning Show.

 

Spirit of the Season – Let it Snow!

Celebrate the magic of the season with our very own Christmas Carol-infused winter wonderland. Sing-a-long to holiday classics and let it snow. Be on time, the snow melts fast! Due to the atrium décor, the event will take place without snow on the Carnival Breeze, Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Vista.

 

Spirit of the Season – ‘Tis the Season

Put on your most festive ugly sweater, warm up those vocal chords and gather around to help us welcome the very jolly Santa Claus himself!

 

Hosted by the Cruise Director and together with the children from Camp Carnival and Camp Ocean, we celebrate the spirit of the holiday season as we combine holiday magic with a little Carnival fun! Guests of all ages are encouraged to bring their ugliest Christmas sweater for this fun competition. And then it’s time to shake your bells and make cheerful noise to welcome in Santa Claus as he makes his way down the glass atrium elevator.

 

On the Carnival Legend and Carnival Spirit, there will be a crazy, festive holiday hat competion instead of the ugly sweater contest.

they will probably still be up. i think they start taking them down the first full cruise after new years (probably with the same variability as when they put them up).

 

they were still up on my january 4 cruise though they may have started taking them down for all i know.
