Ecstasy Dry Dock

We are also sailing on this ship in November 2017. I seriously do hope that they do cabin upgrades. We took this ship October 2016 for a 5 day out of Charleston. We had a balcony cabin midship deck 8 and the cabin creaked extensively when the ship was moving. So much so, that we asked the cabin steward on the last 2 nights to make the bed w/ our feet at the wall so it could ease a little bit of the noise.

Had we taken this cruise as a "first" cruise, we probably would not have taken another. The boat definitely needs cabin upgrades.

Wonder if the Alchemy bar extends to the aft lounge, or if they kept the aft lounge bar as it was.

I liked that the Ecstasy has a full-width rear lounge (the Fantasy's rear lounge is half the size, which makes a huge difference during comedy shows) and has a bar.

The husband (Dry Dock Dave) arrived home from this one this morning, he should have got back yesterday but the ship was slightly delayed leaving Freeport so the contractors flights were changed.

I think this might be his 3rd time on an Ecstasy dry dock! :)

OK thanks I will look it up. I was just curious if they updated other things on ship, the Webcam still hasn't been working.:(

Yeah I have a been checking the cams and it still shows pictures from the drydock. They moved some stuff around in the casino and the sushi bar was sadly replaced with a taste bar and other than the change of what everyone already said and the things I just listed there pretty much the same. I have another cruise app and it still has the old lay out and the Web site has the new one. I think I have attached the new one to the post.

The article overhypes. It mentions new restaurants and bars but Blue Iguana and Guy's are counters. And it's only 1 bar. It's still going to be a relic. But it's all that Charleston's got so the folks there will be pleased.

Just returned yesterday from the Ecstasy. Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana were both excellent places to eat. The burgers and fries at Guy's were not at all greasy, really good, and the tacos and burritos at Blue Iguana were very tasty, lots of toppings to choose from.

Alchemy Bar did not replace the bar in the Sapphire lounge, it's still there. It did replace the Society bar, and Alchemy was a favorite place to sit and relax for us. It is the most beautiful Alchemy bar we have seen, IMO. It's the largest we've seen as well.

No cabin upgrades at all. Still need to bring your own hairdryer, unless you're in a suite. No fridges, and small sinks, at least in our interior.

I don't have pictures to post, but the ones posted previously are exactly what the upgrades look like. I will answer questions if you have them.

Did they move the Mongolian wok/omelet station to somewhere else, or just get rid of it?
