That is the second bit of information regarding Sapphire and Royal sailing from Southampton. Hopefully we will learn it is true officially on December 1, as rumored. My niece, who is a bit of a princess herself, wants to sail around Europe, and both would be good ships.

Thanks I just wonder if princess will bring back that 14 day circle Caribbean they did 1 in October 2017 and a couple in spring 2018....we are hoping for another October sailing in 2018 to celebrate some bdays! It has some real nice ports and doesn't return to FLL in between which was nice...We are hoping for Royal to do this but will take any of princess ships!

That is great news about the Sapphire coming back to Europe. After a summer in Europe, would it do a T/A or head back down under for their summer season? I'd love for it to do a T/A to Florida or New York. If this were the case, I would most certainly considering booking.....:):):)

Getting a bit fed up with Princess doing the same itinerary year on year for the 14 night Med cruises ex Southampton. No variation at all for last three years. There are many other ports in the Western Med e.g Monte Carlo, Malaga, Cadiz or Naples to name but a few. Come on, please, mix it up a bit and give us in the U.K a bit more variety. Not all of us want to fly out to the Med. for different choices.

No... Sapphire is due to sail back to Far East via Suez Canal in Oct 2018, for sure offering the Asian runs from Singapore in winter 2018/19 again.

Royal Princess however switches to NYC in fall 2018, as well as Regal.

I think it's been the last three years that I've thought Princess Med itineraries were atrocious. Certainly nothing changed this year. MSC is basing a ship out of the UK

Per se you might be right with the Southampton itineraries being the same more or less each year.

But IMHO the Southampton deployment with its itineraries to the Med, Canaries, Baltics and Fjords is so versatile that you can offer it for years without getting boring - at best I miss an itinerary up to Iceland.

And to be honest - other lines sailing from Southampton do not provide any better/different itineraries... :)

Appreciate what you say, however -

Cunard managed to offer at least two 17 night cruises this year from Southampton taking in Cadiz Venice Croatia and Greece. Would just like to have the opportunity of a choice one year. Having tried Cunard I do not wish to travel with them again - so like Princess.

Perhaps we can only hope for a change in future years.

I get the impression Princess don't care about the Brits wanting to sail from Southampton to the Med etc. Same itineraries but on a smaller ship. We loved the 17 day Med and Adriatic they used to do...... No change for three years and every year I hope......we love Princess but just wish they would mix it up a bit 😞
