Yes, second formal night but CK is less than 25% formal.

 

I will tell you that tonight's meal was the best food we have had on any cruise ship, in the CK. They do the Lobster much different and the Scallops were to die for. They serve the Royal Shrimp Cocktail with YUM YUM sauce but will bring or make you Cocktail Sauce your way. So far, we are very happy with the CK.

Just looking at that menu I would be going nuts.

Guess that is the mixed blessing of having a diffrent menu every night.

Not in the CK. We were off the ship in Ports during lunch and had the Tutti Salad Bar American ICON on sea days.

Allure, CK Day 7. We sure are going to miss the CK. We have Harmony booked for April 2018. Rest of our ships, no CK.

Thanks again for posting the menus.

Glad to hear you enjoyed CK.

Also like the idea of having a diffrent menu every night. However, it does make going to a specialty restaurant a hard choice.

 

If anyone was wondering, this was the Friday and Saturday menu on Oasis.

 

I'll be sure to post the CK menus from Harmony when I go in May.

Upon boarding and after lunch we meet with the concierge to set up our dinner times at CK.

 

We usually book 3 nights around the days of late excursions.

 

In the event we cancel one we do so early so others on a waiting list can be seated.

 

Never had a trouble eating at the time we wanted.

CK for suite guests and high category RCI cruises, correct?

 

Informal for breakfast and lunch?

 

Business attire or formal for evening dinners?

 

We have booked alternative dinner venues fir a few nights just for variety's sake but CK is nice and close off our suite on Oasis it woukd be nice to be in a smaller venue than MDR

In the evenings, can we invite a couple to join us in CK who aren't Pinnacle or in a suite?

We were allowed to bring guests on Oasis. However, they do have limitations on guests. Speak to the CK host/hostess before you bring your guests.

Are those guests also granted the privileges to have a free drink(s) based on the 11am - 11pm Cocktail Hours of the SL/CK?? Beer/Wine.

 

The reason I ask, on our cruise, we noticed a cruiser who hung out in the hallway and waited for someone with a Suite/PC credentials to open the door, to follow them in to the SL and go up to the bar for a free drink during cocktail hours. Nobody was checking credentials unless you ordered a upgraded drink. Saw this happen several times from this same person.

Our guests were not offered any free drinks, nor did we ask.

Thanks. I would like to know the policy of allowing guests into the CK as we are planning a trip with family and we would be staying in a Suite but they would not.

 

I guess that means we could take them into the Diamond Club as well........ LOL

Ummm, No.

 

Do not try and push the envelope on this. CK and the SL or Diamond Club are totally different venues with totally different rules. No one with access to the Diamond Club, Concierge Club, or Suite Lounge is allowed to invite guests. Coastal Kitchen has different rules. And yes, I do understand that CK and the SL share an open space on Oasis ships.

 

What i recommend is that you personally escort any guests into CK as appropriate.

 

If you really want the policy, I suggest you contact Royal in advance or onboard the ship.

We believe, the food and service is a lot better in the CK and is a perk offered to Suite Guest and PC. The way the Lobster was prepared on Lobster night was simply wonderful. Unlike the Lobster offered in the MDR. The quality of service and attention to the Guests dinning experience to us, was above that on and average night in the MDR.

 

Dinning in the CK makes it all the more worth booking a Suite.

For my upcoming march cruise on Anthem the cruise planner online let me book CK and add my 2 inlaws that are not staying in our suite but in a balcony. I added them to the reservations bc it let me, but we will find out once onboard if they will be allowed in. My mother in law thinks they won't be and is planning accordingly but it would be nice for the 3 times we plan to eat there if they could join.

It is nice you can book CK on Cruise Planner. On Allure 1/29, not possible.

 

I am not debating the right for Suite Guest or PC to bring Guest into the CK for dinner. Just wondering what happens when the word gets out and everyone brings Guest?? Most tables were two toppers but could be pushed together.

Not my problem. That will probably be when they stop accepting guests. Only make sense.

 

The Harmony crossing had plenty of eligible passengers that could not get reservations.

 

JS passengers often have to wait until they board to get a reserrvation.
