Have you ever been booted off a cruise?

They weren't actually "refusing". They were SO drunk they were passed out. Thus the banging on the door by security. Apparently they were young professionals on a well deserved vacation and it was unreasonable for the ship personnel to expect them to comply. It was, after all, their vacation.

They were put off at the next port with their luggage and banned from the cruise line. The funny thing was, this guy acted like he wasn't involved like "has anyone ever heard" and "were they able to get back on" kind of questions. Since the people on CC aren't stupid it didn't take long to figure out he was talking about himself.

That's the problem, isn't it, it's "My vacation I'll ....."

Pick your topic that excuse will come up.

Kids haven't changed in thousands of years, and complaints about kids haven't changed in thousands of years. We only think they're different, because we're looking from the outside. Chances are, people complained about us the very same way.

I agree. I remember what my generation was like when we were young, and I don't remember any perfection running around in it. :)

Probably that things haven't changed a lick in the past 2,500 years.;)

He might also think: "Why would anyone put the ram in the rama-la-ma-ding-dong?"

No he wouldn't. He'd think, "Why would anybody put the bop in the bop-she-bop?"

My parents cruised Royal and there was a large religious group traveling with them. The children ran around unsupervised, tried to play in the casino, and took over elevators. The captain for the first three days kept making announcements that parents are responsible for their children. Finally a family got thrown of in St Maartin and had to find their own way home.

It hasn't happened to us yet thankfully but while being honest on the form didn't make a great start to your cruise experience, it is still the best thing to do and being polite certainly helped actually getting on board. That and your hubby not having any more issues.

Personally I think you did the right thing, if it was more serious, being on a ship where things spread so easily would have been much worse.

Haven't seen anyone booted off yet, but it's probably just a matter of time!:D

My uncle told me that while aboard the Emerald Seas back in the 70's, he saw a group removed from the ship AT SEA by a Bahamian Naval vessel. It was reported that the group had been found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs.

We might have been on that ship. It was a sizable group and their kids were running around uncontrolled everywhere including the bars. The comedian walk off the stage in mid act.

I didn't see a family get booted off, but nobody would be surprised.

No, but a couple we knew about on one cruise should have been.

We went on two tours with them. Both times they showed up very, very late at the meeting time. Then showed up very late when it was time to get back on the bus.

And we saw them twice meandering up to the ship after the time to be on board had long since passed. The second time some men in white uniforms (LOL) gave them a very stern talking to.

Maybe they just couldn't tell time.

We did see a large family group 'booted' at one port. This was back in the days when we still went to Art Auctions, and had watched this group all outbid everyone in the room for various pieces of art. The story we heard from staff later was that they tried to pay for their purchases with an Am. Express card that turned out to have been reported stolen. Guess they thought no one could check it from the ship, or they might just have been pretty stupid!

A few years ago on RC a couple got into an altercation w/each other the first night. It was so bad they were locked in separate rooms and the section was cordoned off from the rest of the floor. They were escorted off at the first port a soon as the ship docked.
