Complementary adult drink for being gold status with cheers

So if I get the cheers package. And for being gold status I also get a complementary adult drink on the last day of the cruise is this only to be used by me or is it a certificate I can give away. Or can I use it at all being a 15 drink maximum with cheers?

Good question! Didn't have Cheers, but I know DW and I each had to show our card, and it actually posted to our account as $0.00 so I don't believe you can give it away.

While you probably can't give the card away, you should be able to use it to buy someone else a drink.

 

But if you have cheers doesn't it still count against your 15? That's how I understood it which makes it worthless if you have cheers.

Its pretty much useless if you have cheers, I believe it can only be used in MDR as well..could be wrong though. I don't think it counts towards your 15 though, why should it?

I think that's wrong about it having to be in the MDR. After 5pm, last sea day...I'm pretty sure it says any bar.

 

The reason I think it counts towards your 15 is because it's been said that after 15 drinks on cheers you can't even buy a drink.

 

If it doesn't count towards your 15 it's not worthless.

My son (17) turned gold last cruise. He got one, and I actually took it to the bar and used it to buy someone else a drink (I had Cheers).

I've had them look at the coupon and check the name. Just get it yourself and give it to the person. It's so stupid you have to wait until last day.

Forgot to use mine on the last cruise but had Cheers and DOU from casino!

 

I would have used it to buy someone a drink if I remembered I had it.

On the Breeze last Monday month I took both my certificate and my wife's to the main lobby bar (it clearly stated on the certificate it could be used at any bar on the ship) and got two drinks with no questions asked. I ordered a Mojito for her and did have to pay a 29 cent upgrade charge.
