Can't wait to hear more. Where can I find the menus for the Pride? Trying to determine which night to book at the steakhouse.

I'm glad you asked! I just got done watching a great series of videos on YouTube before we left for our cruise by a lady who put her family's trip photos to music and then divided it up into installments. She did a wonderful job and I think it should give you a great idea of the menus and food photos. Just search "Carnival Pride" on YouTube and look for the videos by Sheena Moburg. I was thoroughly entertained watching them! Hope that helps. [emoji4]

Driving back home from Baltimore now and hope to start a trip report fairly soon. Unfortunately I didn't get as many photos of the ship and food as I had hoped. With a 3 and 1 year old demanding your full attention at meal times and while running around the ship, apparently snapping pictures isn't as easy as I'd imagined!

I'll do my best to answer any questions for you! [emoji4]

Oh my goodness, that would be fun to find out! Maybe you'll see yourself in some of my pictures, ha ha. They kicked us out on such a lovely day too! ☹️

Maybe, at least I don't have sea legs, but I keep hearing the slot machines and the sound of ice in the blenders, haha.

Wow, you have a lot of people waiting for your review, and I'm one of them. I'll be on the Pride for the first time in November so I'll study every picture and read every word. Thank you so much for doing this.

Thanks Jeff! I think I saw Winston in the customs line to head out as we were exiting. Is he heading home? Thought of you and smiled when I saw him. [emoji4]

Winston told me that he would be heading home the first weekend in June. He didn't know at the time if he would be back on the Pride. Great Guy!!!

We are on the ship in 2 weeks

Who was the Maitre d ?

What time did you get to the port and what time did they start boarding

thanks

bob

Hi there. I don't recall the name of the maitre d, but I can look into getting it for you!

As per the email we received about 3 days before sailing, boarding was to begin at 2, with the earliest check in slot at 12:30. However, when we arrived at about 12:50 (with FTTF) we were through the lines and onboard by 1:15. We weren't the first people onboard, either!

Looking forward to your report. Did you use the kids club at all for your 3 year old or the night owls babysitting?

Hi Janice!

The only time we used the kids club was when I realized on day 5 that I wasn't going to have enough diapers for our one year old to finish out the cruise and they were kind enough to give us some! More on that story to come in the report. Major mommy mistake, ha ha.

We also didn't use the babysitting. For the most part, we do everything alongside our kids. That said, we were traveling with extended family that were more than happy to sit in the room while the boys slept so the hubby and I could go to the late comedy show, casino etc. We did that a couple of times. We also alternated nights where one of us stayed in with the boys after bedtime and the other went to do their activity of choice. [emoji4]

You're so kind! I hope I can help you in some way, but I am by no means a professional at this, so I'll learn as I go. I am pretty sure you will love the Pride just like we did!

I knew you'd have the inside track. Yes, a great guy indeed. So glad he's home for awhile with his family! [emoji4]

After 25 carnival cruises the Pride is still my favorite , it does not have all the bells and whistles like your newer ships do, but they have everything I look for in a cruise ...

and last week my son took his girlfriend on her, and proposed to her on the top deck, ,he said his heart was pounding so loud he did not realize he was outside the steak house on display for everyone eating and clapping for him ... how exciting ..

While I didn't go to his bar that often, I gave him a Jackson at the start of the cruise because of your praises Jamman. Wish I would have known it was his last cruise on his contract, would have gave him something at the end too.

What a nice gesture! I'm sure he appreciated it. :D (y)

It has everything we needed, too. Really enjoyed the size.

Wow! That is very exciting for your son. Congratulations to all! It's probably best that he didn't know he had onlookers- that might have increased his anxiety even more! :p

What's the best time to arrive at the port these days if you have FTTF?

Kadeeu, I am on the Pride right now. We had FTTF and arrived at the parking lot at 10:55am. Guard told us lot will not be open until 11:30 to come back. I asked if we could wait since we were not from the area and he was nice enough to point us to a spot to wait. At 11:10 they opened the lot to priority and FTTF guests. We were parked by 11:20 and standing in line to enter the building. Building opened at 11:30 and we had our sign and sails cards by 11:45 and went to wait area until boarding began. We boarded about 12:15 and dropped our carry ons in the room and were at Guy's burgers by 12:30.

Thanks for the information. From reading different people's experiences recently, it seems like a slightly different set of times each week for the opening of the parking lot and port.

CCL need to switch ships for Baltimore...... Pride been there to LONG!!!!!!

I will have to disagree with you! We love the Pride and the only other ships they could have there would be another spirit class or smaller.

Nope, keep the Pride. Next Pride adventure is booked for January 2019! Can't wait, 14 day journey cruise. :D

I would agree, but the Pride is really the best we are going to get. The newer ships can't fit and it sounds like the Pride is the best of the Spirit class. I certainly don't want one of the old rust buckets and it doesn't seem like they do 7 day cruises at this point.

What would really be awesome is if they did a total overhaul of a Spirit class ship and put it in Baltimore. Not just adding a burger joint and martini bar. Redo the rooms and everything. Baltimore is a very profitable port for Carnival. I think it would pay off.

I really liked the Pride. Good size, lots of sitting areas and the decor was the best. I hope they keep it in Baltimore until I get tired of it :')

I would have enjoyed one of the new Italian restaurants for lunch but the Sushi Bar was the best I've had on CCL.

I have a quick question for anyone that has sailed the Pride. Yes i have but can not remember. What time does the Pride go under the bay bridge? I want to try to schedule the steakhouse around that. Don't want to miss it.
