NE/Canadian Itinerary change?!

We leave this Saturday on the Sunshine to NE/Canada and rec'd an email yesterday saying our itinerary changed - "Due to operational considerations" Boston is now Monday 8-5 when it was Sunday, 2-10PM...Portland was Monday 8-3, now Tuesday 7-3...etc.

Just kind of wondering out loud why a Canadian itinerary would change? I can understand the Caribbean itineraries being changed completely! But Canada? Anyone ever have this happen to them?

We had nothing planned in each port, so the changes really don't matter to us but I'm sure there are plenty of people who had non-Carnival excursions planned.

The Canadian government recently applied a lower "speed limit" in the St. Lawrence river. Its possible that this is causing the change.

At what point would the ship be on the St Lawrence River?

It could be a port/docking issue at a single port of call. A change with one could cause a domino effect.
