That’s a strange color for a Mai Tai. Why they want to put grenadine in them I’ll never know. That’s not in the classic recipe: lime, orgeat syrup, Jamaican and Martinique rums and orange curaçao. Easy peazy and so, so good.

We were on the Breakaway and the Escape looks the same. I am enjoying your cc blog and scopes as well. You are doing a wonderful job. We have done many cruises on other lines, mostly RCCL & Princess, and I'm interested to hear how you rate this ship.

Gotta say the styling of the daily is very unattractive. Pages full of small font typeset does not encourage reading. Where are some colors, graphics etc. could be a lot better.

I sailed NCL for the first time in January and fell in love with the ship and Freestyle Cruising! We were on the Getaway which has a lot of the same things your ship has. We also ate at Moderno and thoroughly enjoyed it! The Getaway has the best buffet at sea we ever had, so don’t avoid the Escape buffet! You may be pleasantly surprised! We are booked again this January on the Getaway for the second time, and cannot wait!

You definitely should check out the Seafood night at the buffet. And then head all the way to the back for crepes made to order.
